Hello everyone, Not be long now till we`re off ,
not that I`m counting or anything

I have a few questions I hope you can answer for me,

We are staying in the AKL from Sept 4th for 2 weeks, and were thinking of going to play mini golf. Hoe do we get from the AKL to Fantasia Gardens/ summer wonderland, is there a disney bus we can get.

We would also like to try Universal, so again how do we get from the AKL to Unversal Studios, is taxi the easiest way, whats the cheapest way.

What about the florida mall how do we get there, again is it just a matter of getting a taxi, and how do we get back, is there a taxi rank?

There is no direct bus from AKL to Fantasia Gardens. FG is less than a 5 minute walk from Swan/Dolphin, so you need to get yourself to there first. You have a couple options:

1. Bus to DHS and then boat/walk to Swan/Dolphin; or
2. Bus to AK and then bus to Swan/Dolphin.

I'd probably go by whichever of those two buses showed up first when I went down to the AKL bus stop.

As to Winter Summerland, that is right next to Blizzard Beach. AKL has a bus to DHS which stops at WS on the return trip back to AKL (I don't think it stops on the way there, but if I am wrong, someone will correct me). That bus is your best bet.

Of course, you could also take a taxi directly to either place.

As for the other destinations, I have never been so can't offer advice.

As to the other places , yeah we never went any where other than Disney last year when we were there. It was our first time we have talked about Universal and the Florida Mall this year but it seems Dw isn`t convinced and would prefer an extra day or two just in the Disney parks, I dunno, seems like we should do them just cause we`ve came all the way across the Atlantic, but it Universal especially seems to be very expensive.

We always rent a car and drive to the outlet malls and to Unviersal or Sea World or Busch Gardens (we rent the car for the entire time we are there).

Once you arrive at AKL, you could look into the cost of renting a car for a day or two while you are there or you could take a taxi. I'm not sure how much the taxi would cost, but I can tell you from visiting the outlet malls that I have seen taxis hanging around waiting for people.

We rented a car from National at the Dolphin. It was much less expensive than renting at the airport and we used a Costco discount. Taxis just to get to points within WDW can run about $10 - 15; we took a town car from the Dolphin back to FOPQ after returning the car and that was $12...DD is a germophobe so I went with the town car rather than a yellow cab.
