With Christmas being less that 12 weeks away, and with most of us having been on our holidays, it is now time to turn our thoughts from 'fitting into that bikini' to 'fitting into that Little Black Dress' and for you guys 'looking good in that suit'

If like me, you're on a diet all year round, tell us how much you have lost to date, what keeps you motivated, and if you want to, tell us how much more you'd like to lose

If you want to join in just for the next few months then that's fine too .. welcome

:wizard: Good luck with your weigh-ins everyone :wizard:

Hi Mandy,
I'll start :)

I'm going to Slimming World and have been for the past 5 weeks. I have lost 12 pounds to date and I have another 5 stone to lose!

It's not Christmas that's motivating me, but the fact I'm getting married in Aug 2013!

Hopefully everyone else will start to post too!

Hi There

I will go next, I am in Weight Watchers at the moment, feeling very down with myself right now as I gave up smoking 10 weeks ago but have put on more than a stone since and Im really struggling to lose it again.:sad2:

Whilst Im really pleased I have given up smoking, nothing fits me and I cant really afford to buy new outfits and to be honest I dont want to as that just makes me admit to myself that Im happy to go up a clothes size which Im not.

I had a great first week losing 5.5lbs but this week I have put on 2lbs which seems so unfair when I have been so good.

Christmas is not my most favorite time of the year so Im not losing it for that, however its my 50th in March and I really wanted to be fit and fabulous for that!!, So that is my encouragement:)

Good luck everyone :-)

Hi everyone!

I started losing weight over a year ago due to a medical condition I have and my weight was making it worse. So far I've lost 2 and a half stone since last summer, just by eating better and doing my Davina dvds!

I'm really pleased with that, but I've started to struggle with watching what I eat and finding time to excersise as I've just started uni again.

We've just booked our holiday for next year so I'm using that as my encouragement, as I'd like to look half decent in a swimsuit!

I'm hoping to lose about a stone before then, but I'd like to tone myself up more than anything!

I hope everyone can reach their goals, good luck!:)

Ill be joining in when i come back from my hols:cool1: cant decide what class to go to, i quite fancy rosemary conley as they do zumba

My mum stopped smoking too and put on 3 stone, she's started going to the class with me and says the thing that annoys her the most is she feels she should have started the class pretty quickly after she stopped and she wouldn't have put on so much!
It's easy to get disheartened (I'm sure I'm going to put on weight tomorrow....) but although you have put on, think what you have lost so far!

I'm trying to go for 1/2 stones at a time, if I think of it like that instead of 5 stone to go, it makes it feel better!

Good Luck to everyone!

I'm in - I've been watching what I eat and exercising 4-6 times a week for the last month and have lost 5lb. I'd like to lose another 5-10lb but it's very slow because I'm pretty close to my natural healthy weight anyway; I'm always losing the "last 7lb" or whatever  I don't do Weight Watchers etc. because I don't want to pay :lmao: so I go it alone.

Weekends are my downfall. I refuse to compromise my wine habit ;)

I've never actually thought about it like that, it's a really good idea! I think I'll try and remember this and do it the same way as you.

Thanks for that tip!:goodvibes

I'm in too!

I managed to lose my necessary 5lb before my hols but it is all back on now :confused3

This last 3 weeks I have been too lazy to get up for the gym, apart from a couple of times.

I have started back on my smoothie and soup diet this week, as well as a gym session this morning - I forgot how much I enjoy it :rolleyes1.

I have a fitness fiesta at Camber Sands this weekend, so that will be my big kick start for the lead up to Xmas.

We are off skiing in January and I want to "look" like I actually do spend 5 mornings in the gym rather than look like I sit on my b*m all day!!! (Especially as I DO spend 5 mornings in the gym!!)

I am looking at losing half a stone - or get to 10 1/2 stone if I can!

Here's to that little black dress everyone - more :yay: and less popcorn::!!

Could I join in November when we get back from Florida, please?

I've lost one and a half stone over the summer, just due to healthy eating (and lots of it - I'm no good at going without and being hungry!). I'm also walking to work now too, which should help my general fitness. I'm pretty sure I will put a fair few pounds back on in Florida though, and I'll want to get rid of them as soon as possible. I like the fact that my clothes fit nicer now, even though I don't actually look much different!

I think after the cruise I'm going to be more like The Christmas Pudding. :lmao:

I'm in too! I've got about a stone I'd like to shift...my plan at the moment is mainly to up my fruit and veg intake and cut down on coke (my big weakness is I have the worlds biggest sweet tooth!), I also intend to do more walking and do the Jillian Michael's dvd's (they are hardcore but do seem effective if you stick with them).

Good luck everyone!

Well I didn't put on yesterday! 1/2 pound off so 12.5 pounds off :)

1.5 pounds until my stone

Good luck to everyone :goodvibes

Count me in Mandy...I would like to lose a few pounds for Christmas !!

OK ... time to bite the bullet !! I lost a bit of weight before my cruise and got down to the lowest I have been for a while .... 3 weeks later and I am 10lbs ( and now probably a bit more ) heavier and I am ashamed :headache::headache:

So Monday seems like a good day to start again. I would like to lose 10lbs at least and be back to where I was the day before we cruised. I will start Monday and weigh myself on a Tuesday at work.

Good luck everyone :wizard::wizard::wizard:
