I left Epcot, boarded the monorail and headed to TTC. You know how all transportation at WDW takes longer than you ever imagine it might? Well, today would prove to be no different. I left, in what I thought would be plenty of time but I was starting to stress that I would be late. I got to the TTC and changed lines and was on my way to the GF. When we arrived at GF the doors of the monorail would not open. I sat there and wondered if I was trapped? I am thinking, of course, this would only happen to the car I was in. After what felt like several minutes
the doors finally open. Wheeew
. I made it!
I head inside and WOW another beautiful resort.

The GF is really an elegant and gorgeous resort. I know this place would be fantastic at Christmas. I can just imagine that huge gingerbread house in the foyer. aahhh the smell
As I mentioned earlier, I am a bit nervous and having irrational thoughts about what if
. What if ...they turn out to be incredibly strange

or ...

weird or what if ...they seem psychotic

? If they are wierd I will say I have to use the rest room and I just wont return.

Thats it! I also figure what kind of craziness can actually happen in the GF at WDW?
I start to look around and wonder how in the world I will recognize these ladies that Ive never met. Well lo and behold
in the middle of the lobby, sitting on a couch were 3 women. Two of them were wearing lime green. I knew this must be them. I headed over. Eeyores Tiara greeted me with a big smile and a hug. I met Utahmama and Mickygirl76. We all exchanged hellos and within a few minutes in came Glendamax and her mom. We head on over to the Tea Room. It is such a pretty room
so girly.

My DD would love it.
These ladies were all so sweet and genuine that I did not even think about my escape route again. The conversation flowed and the laughs continued all afternoon.

The waitress came around with a box of teas for us to choose from. I chose the Mad Hatter. It had a berry flavor and was very tasty. I think several of the others chose the same.
ET was our hostess and I found her to be kind and genuine. She is extremely generous and thoughtful. I felt as though we had known each other for years. I could imagine her as someone who would give great advice and always have an open door at her home for friends.
Her friend was with her, Mickeygirl76. Mickeygirl76 was also very friendly and seemed to enjoy herself immensely.
Glendamax was also very friendly and warm as was her Mom. She and her mom were both so funny. I guess like typical mother/daughters. One likes this..the other likes that
but the love is so evident you could see it a mile away.

They were both so much fun and it was great hearing about their adventure through both her and her moms eyes.
Umama was so very sweet and funny. I found her to be very friendly and genuine. As you might imagine Umama is a great conversationalist. I can imagine her as someone who always knows how to make you feel right at home. She shared some of her funny stories with us.
I must tell you that Umama did not embarrass us even once.

She behaved herself all afternoon.

I know you guys were talking bail and jail just a couple of days before
.but thankfully there was no need. There was some talk about silverware and teacups
but as we had already agreed upon, What happens at Disney, Stays at Disney.
ET presented us each with a lime green velvet bag and inside was a tiara!!! I couldnt believe it
my very own tiara. Thank you ET!!! I have since refused to give it to my DD. I told her to forget it!!!
We all placed our tiaras on our head and smiled like true princesses. Now, this is the embarrassing part
the other ladies all whipped out these wonderful, little gifts and I sat there without anything to give. Boy was I embarrassed. Especially since I am a southern woman
.where in the world were my manners.

I have to say I just didnt think about it. Oh my gosh
for that I wanted to die.

But they were all so gracious and kind. Not once did they make me feel badly about my snafu.
The waiter brought over a tray of bracelets and presented each of us one as a memento from the day. He said they give these to the little girls who have a princess tea there and since we were a princesses we should have one also. Of course we all got a kick out of that!
We then ordered food. The sandwiches were very good but my favorite was the onion tart. I do not like onions but this was delicious. It had a sweet buttery taste. YUM! I did not care for the duck pate but I did try it.
There were several pastries to choose from and I chose the chocolate covered strawberry and the petite éclair. Once again
YUM!!!
We all took pictures and talked about Disney, our families and shared other little tidbits from our lives. We laughed and ate. It was a wonderful afternoon.
Where in the world did the time go?.....I looked over and saw my DH , DD and DS wandering throughout the lobby. The time had really flown by. We got up to leave and said our goodbyes and before you knew it we were each on our own
going our own direction. Our tea was over but new friendships had just begun
Thank you ET for your generosity and thoughtfulness. Thank you ladies for making our time together so special and so much fun. Thank you for your friendliness.

It will be something I will never forget.
We had ADRs at Alfredos in about 1 hour. Oh, my gosh, I cannot believe I have to eat again.
