Your pictures are wonderful! I could just squeeze your daughter's sweet cheeks! She has such an engaging smile! Your family looks like they are having such fun -- which is how it should be!!!

Thanks for the compliment on the pictures. :goodvibes
I have to tell ya my DD cheeks are so squeezable but mostly I like to kiss them. They are very kissable. You probably didn't notice :rotfl2: but I too have some cheeks and when I was little people would always pinch my cheeks and ooohhh I hated it. My DS had some big ol' cheeks too. He has outgrown his though. :guilty: You should have seen DD when she was a baby...now that was some cheeks!!!

I agree! You all don't look like you've had such an active day! I hope I look that good when I go!

You are too sweet. :goodvibes Thanks but believe me we were wiped out. We went all day without a break except to sit and eat. A break for me involves staring at the back of my eyelids. :teeth:

Thanks for reading.

Hi PrincessV: Thanks for reading! You are very sweet but refreshed we weren't feeling either. It was more like sweaty and sticky from morning to night! I agree it was very warm and humid. My hair has some natural curl/wave and it drove me crazy...I would leave the hotel with my hair looking okay but within 30 minutes or so it would start frizzing and curling every which way. I hate that!!!
We went around the same time last year (Oct 4 - 14) and it seemed much hotter or maybe just more humid but whatever, it really seemed much worse to me last year.
I live outside of Atlanta and I was amazed at the difference in just 400 or so miles. Last year I was expecting warm but not 90 degress with 90% humidity everyday....I was really surprised at the heat. I guess I was mentally more prepared this time.
I would love to visit when it isn't hot and humid. I think it would be so much more fun not to be sweaty all day. Since you live so close...what do you suggest? How is early Dec? I would especially like to come and see the Christmas decorations. I was thinking sometime during the first 2 weeks of Dec. Have you ever been during that time? What are the crowds like?

I completely relate about the hair issues - mine's somewhere between wavy and curly... which means I have to consult the local weather each morning to determine which products to use on any given day. High humidity = curls, low = blowout, and rain=pull it back in a bun. Life in FL

It's incredible the difference between ATL and here, isn't it? My good friend lived in ATL for the last 5 years and I learned quickly to bring a light sweater and long pants when I visited her in Aug. or Sept. And all the time, she complained about the heat and humidity - I was like "You have NO idea!" :rotfl:

Are you sure you wnat to get me started on Dec. at WDW?! Love it.
LOVE.
IT!!!
I can't say enough about that time of year. We do our "big" trip every year in Dec. (for over 10 years now!) for a few reasons:
1. Cooler, sometimes really cold, temperatures. This is my big opportunity to bundle up in winter coats, hats and mittens!
2. The most amazing holiday decorations ever. I think we spend as much time looking around the resorts as in the parks!
3. Low crowds. Not as low as Sept. anymore - more folks are catching on to the beauty of visiting in Dec. - but still pretty low.
4. Hotel discounts galore.
In the past, we've gone the second or third weeks of Dec. The second week has always been slow, but the third was more on the busy-ish side. This year, we're going 12/1-12/6, which I hear is pretty slow, too
Can you tell I love Dec.?! I really hope your family can give it a try - I think you'll love it as much as I do!

I just read through your whole report. I love the pictures -- you are a great photographer. What adorable kids you have. I also love how you surprised your kids. We have not told our kids about our upcoming trip in six weeks. I've been working on different ways to tell them. The poem was an excellent way to end the treasure hunt. I am inspired by reading your trip.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. :)

redheaded mama: Such nice compliments...thank you!!! I am glad you are reading!
You have to let me know how you reveal your surprise - it is so fun and exciting. It is really hard not to talk about it or let it slip .:cheer2: Good luck with that!
Since we have been home both of my kids have talked about the surprise over and over. DD is asking about the "next" time we surprise her with a trip to WDW. I told her there will be no more surprises like that for a while :teeth: . I tell her please do not get your hopes up because you will certainly be disappointed.

The tiaras are gorgeous!!! What a nice present!

Sounds (and looks) like a friendly bunch (or the more apt expression is surely friendly queens or princesses ;) ) and a magical afternoon. :goodvibes
great installment!

Hey Toony:
Glad you are still here. The tea was fabulous and truly a magical time. Aren't the tiaras great...that ET is one sweet and thoughtful lady. :goodvibes

Hi Lazyday and Disneyland mama,

You guys do not need to have tiara envy...really. Let's just plan another Tea and we shall all wear our tiaras. If you do not have a tiara; well, we will just get you one!!!! :teeth:

TTFN

PrincessV posted how great that time of year is so I know it will be a magical time for you and your family. Oh and to visit with all of the Christmas decorations, you know it will be beautiful.
