Here is a little story for you....My Dsis was living in France when POTC2 came out. I read about the opening at a theater in Paris. I copied all of the particulars and asked her if she knew where the theater was. She said she did so, I sent her an email and told her she HAD to go. She isn't a JDepp fan or a Pirate fan either but I insisted she go...for me. Well at the last minute she decided to go and she had a blast. She got a few pictures and an autograph for me. Now she is in love with OBloom. She said OB & JD were both very nice and friendly. I'll post a couple of pics later in my TR for you!

Kaysmommie: Glad you are still with me ! My Mickey is a sweetie, although I do think he has some identity issues. I think, he thinks he is part cat...he chases birds, licks his paws and sits on the highest point possible. He is odd but sweet
Glad you enjoyed the pictures from the MNSSHP. It was really a lot of fun despite the crowd and rain. We left with a boatload of candy, too!
BTW...Where do you live in TN? It is a beautiful state.

Villainess: Hi! Thanks for reading. I am not sure how different days affect crowd levels at MNSSHP but Fri. was definitely more crowded than the Thurs we attended in 05. Also this year we attended on the first night...maybe that had something to do with it. Regardless of when you go ...you will love it.

I also love remembering when & where each Christmas ornament was bought. DH & I will soon be celebrating our 20th! Needless to say we have many, many ornaments from all these years. Almost too many. I guess that means we need more Christmas trees. Which will mean we need a bigger house. Which will mean we need more income.

I agree with the costumes. We tried to find Villain t-shirts. Could not find one for DD so she wore an itsy bitsy spider shirt. Costumes can be a lot of fun but the heat and humidity in Sept., in Fl...it is just too stinking HOT! Late Oct. may not be too bad .

I do love the Christmas shop at DTD. Unfortunately I tend to get 'lost' in there. This store was one of our first Disney experiencesin 05 - our first WDW trip. After checking into our hotel we headed to DTD and discovered it. We were like ...too many choices.

Well, that particular Captain was very attractive, and he had the mannerisms down - but sadly there is only one JD and he was not him! We were still excited though, DS6 talked about it for weeks.

I'd love to see your pictures from the France premier! Please do post them when you have time. There are a few ladies from another board that I visit that are going to the AWE premier @ DL in May - I haven't been able to talk DH into it, so I'll have to live vicariously through them!

Hi SoonerGirl

I wanted to post these pics for you of JDepp & OBloom. As I stated before these were taken in Paris, last summer at the premier of POTC2 My Dsis fell in love with OBloom. Love at first sight as they say.
Johnny also recieved an award given by the Mayor of Paris that evening.

She said it was crowded and everyone was yelling,(insert your best french accent) "Johnneeee, Johnneeee" and the French were going crazy and the one picture that she was able to be in some guy stuck his face in front of her and you can only see one of her eyes

They also gave out several of the pirate mouse ears but sadly she or her friend did not get one. She also said that JDepp and OBloom were extremely patient and friendly to those in the crowd.

Regardless, I was happy and thankful for the pictures . Hope you enjoy them also!

yeah, i realize this was posted months ago, but i'm just now reading your TR (loving it, by the way!) and i wanted to just give you greetings from a fellow georgian! i live in jefferson (near athens), so i'm not too far from you! i actually have a few friends who live in loganville. i've gone through there a couple of times - i'm a court reporter and filled in for another court reporter in newton county last summer for a week, so i drove through loganville that whole week.

We live in West Knoxville. It is very pretty here and much warmer than up north where we used to live. We do miss the Beach and Ocean alot but have adjusting nicely to the south. We haven't even been back to see family and we have been here 2 years. We have to use our vacation time for Disney instead . Waiting to here about the rest of your trip.

Please tell me... did your gets fight at all???My older kids are 12 and 7 and they like to bicker A LOT...ugh..I know it will be hot in mid June when we go, and hope they are on their best behavior.

My sister said the people were crazy in the crowd and she was concerned that she would be able to even get an autograph because of people pushing. When JDepp got in front of her she handed him her book (paper) to sign and she thought to herself...This is it..I will never get this opportunity again. She reached out and ran her fingers down his arm. She said he looked up at her; smiled and kinda laughed. She said I think he laughed at me. Funny she really wasn't a fan before....but she is now.

I would love go to DL for AWE. I can only imagine....

kaysmommie Hi! you sound like my DH. He is from NYC and he misses being surrounded by water. There are several things that he doesn't miss though...the snow and the shoveling, the price of houses , the crowds. He also misses the sidewalks.
I am curious...Do you know what the price of a movie cost in NYC area now? We are stunned that they cost so much here now. Matinees are $6-7 and Evenings are $9 - $11 Then popcorn and a couple of drinks $12 makes me It cost our family $50+ to go to the movies!!! What is with that anyway? sorry for the OT ramble...

Hi sunlver.... Welcome to my TR. Glad you found it and that you are enjoying it.

Do my kids fight? They drive me nuts with their constant bickering and such. Makes me . Makes DH er.
On our first trip in 10/05 they were so excited to be going and they really got along beautifully. Everything was new and exciting. This past trip, 9/06 they constantly gave each other little digs and such. I think it was worse for a couple of reasons: it wasn't a 'new' experience and they are older...DS has those middle school hormones and emotions. He is like his own rollercoaster. DD was born with an attitiude; she never gives him a break. So...Yes, Yes, Yes they fought but not for long periods and the fun definately outshone the bad. My DH and I swapped off riding with each child and each other and also who we sat with at eating times. We tried to let them take turns on picking what attraction/ride we would do next.

My DD tends to get especially rude and nasty when she is tired or hungry.
One thing we did do that helped was to take a break each day. Go back to the room- cool off- rest, swim, watch TV, have a snack.

When they would start to get nasty with each other I make them stand nose to nose, forehead to forehead, eye to eye with their arms around each other. It takes about 3 seconds and they are giggling and apologizing with each other. Works everytime....so far.

I say Good luck...you are outnumbered ...3 kids!!!! Just kidding. You all will have a blast even with a little bickering.

Please, give me any advice you have. I'll take any tips.

Well, I can't imagine anyone could be that close to him and not become a fan!! She even got to touch him - what a lucky girl!

There used to be a thread on the CB about JD and Orlando Bloom and one of the ladies that frequented that thread set up a message board just for us - we have a lot of fun, and there are lots of nice pictures of JD & Orlando, if you're interested in checking it out PM and I'll send you the link.
