The High Fireworks Score today

I am shocked. I have read all of this and I don't even understand how someone could "hack" the one minigame to get that many points. How is this even possible? I know some people can hack games that give codes, so they just get the code and not play the game, b/c they find the site that generates codes (and I don't even know how to do THAT but to me, it's conceivable)....but this fireworks thing is way beyond me. Even if you ARE a computer hacking genius/bad person (hackers are bad bad bad) how could they do that????? Makes no sense to me. Btw, does anyone know how the score for fireworks breaks down? I saw that you get 1000 points for a flawless..does anyone know how many points you get for awesome, good, and ok? And if certain icons, like the red planet that disappear faster, give you more points, or are they all the same?

The fireworks are all worth the same.

1000 is perfect.
But you can get flawless and score between 900-100
Awesome, if I remember, is 800-900, Good 700-800, etc.

I remember it listed somewhere but can't find it.

There are 315 fireworks total in all the levels. They are all equal for points. Some just last longer than others so you have to get good at the timing for each to get your score up into the elusive 280,000 and up range.

All the great, honest players are upset about the fact that the all-time high scores are clearly hacked and now it's happening again.

For those who were around last fall, this same thing happened. Eventually, VMK purged the so-called high scores and things dropped to normal. Speculation last time was that it was a hack.

I was playing fireworks on day and on got stuck and I could keep clicking on it and getting flawless over and over, sad part is I did not realize it until the round was almost up....just stared at it for awhile, then thought hey why not click on that to see what happens.

It happened in the first round so I had an awesome first round score....needless to say, I stink at FW, so even with that score I did not make it through to the final round.

I think it could have been happening yesterday. That's not the first time it has happened, I remember seeing a post on this board about clicking multiple times on a stuck firework. I know I have been experiencing firework freezes during the fireworks game all week but I haven't been able to do the multiple clicks on one firework trick.

When I used to try to play fireworks on a slow Mac, I was able to double click fireworks quite often. My final scores weren't good because I missed more fireworks than I hit but I was definitely able to double click on some of the ones I could get the cursor to.

Maybe I should experiment with double clicking on this computer!
