The Haunted Mansion?!

The film inspired by the wdw ride was on television over here in the uk today.
Which got me thinking back to many years ago and going on the ride as a kid and it had real people acting throughout the ride, interacting with the people who went on it.

An I right in thinking this or has age got the better of me and getting mixed up with something completely different.

Please help my sanity...

You were probably just in awe of the animatronics! Never any real people in HM other than the CMs who usher you along at the beginning of the experience.

Only ride I can think of that does this is "Great Movie Ride" at DHS.

My DW insists many years ago a CM surprised her (with a "boo" or something similar) while going through the door-knockers section early in the ride. She thinks it was a Grad Nite.

No, it wouldn't - that's why I don't go to "real" haunted houses. (And yes, I realize you're joking. )

1st time was 1983, maybe it was the ushers am thinking of, just have a very vivid memory of going on that ride and somebody tapping my gran on the shoulder...never seen anybody jump as high in all my life.

I know there are some CMs that get really into it and will stand directly behind you in the stretching room hoping to scare you. Maybe that's it?
