What is your wait time usually for this? How scary is it for a 3 yr. old? To give you an idea about my daughter, she usually gets through scary movies w/o any problem, but I really want to see this and I'm still concerned about her flipping out on the ride. :confused3

IMHO the line goes rather quick and it's not a scary ride for little kids. My DS rode it when he was 4, did ok with it. You are in are cart (doombugie) and you simply ride around. Some ghosts pop-up here and there but nothing real close to you. DS would only get scared when the ride would go backwards and come back down from the upper part of the mansion.

I did ok on it too.
We ride it every trip now.

just rode it last week for the first time and I tend not to like those. I was fine. My dtr will be three and she did fine with it as well. :thumbsup2

We had a bit of a different experience with our 4 year old twins. They were scared on the HM. They didn't start crying or anything, but kept asking me "When is this ride going to be over?!" I think the atmosphere just bothered them for whatever reason. It really isn't a scary ride per se.

I had this same experience w/my 3YO DS. He wanted, also, to make sure we weren't planning to take him on it again!

Over the years I have seen a good number of little ones, probably age 5 and under, who become quite scared in the shrinking room, and after leaving that, on the way to the dombuggies, are crying quite a bit, some actually terrified. For some little ones, it can indeed be quite frightening.

the lines go pretty quick considering the ride keeps going and doesn't stop to let people on, you just walk onto the belt and hop into a buggie.

the only thing i can think that might be scary for little kids is it's kind of dark throughout the ride. and the graveyard scene might scare them a bit, things pop out. but nothing TOO extreme happens in there.

This is exactly what happened to my DD6 last year. Her father took her out, and her brothers and I (2&3) enjoyed the ride.

Our DD was 27 months old when she first went on HM. We were worried she would not like the stretching room so we asked a CM out front to bypass the pre-show. She took us to a secret door and we were let in to the loading area. She did fine on the ride and when she wanted to ride again we did the pre-show and had no problems.

Our 5 year old spent the entire ride alternating between leaning forward intently watching everything, then leaning over to me and asking "You're sure everything in here is fake, right?" He really enjoyed it but must have asked that question a dozen times, just needing the reassurance the first time though. Then he happily rode it several more times.
