I went to the Magic Kingdom on 10/5/15 and was fortunate enough to be able to take my panographic equipment to Tom Sawyers Island and take what I feel is a rare view of The Haunted Mansion. Its rarity comes not from the view itself because anyone can do that at anytime, but to be able to capture 114 High Resolution single images and stitch them together into one seamless image and then see a view as if you are actually there with the larger horizontal image is amazing and just gives the image a sense of realism that a single photo simply will not provide.
I won't bore you with the technical details of the level of effort it took to create this single image, but 5 hours of stitching orphaned images that could not be automatically stitched together by the stitching software is not only tedious but very error prone.
I really enjoy being able to expand the image to the full real estate of your computer and then explore within the image by double and triple clicking in the image. I took snapshots within the combined pano and the cool factor is being able to focus and explore within the image with the embedded flash software to capture and view details that you would not normally see. Take for example, the Bat weathervane that I took a snapshot of . . . I never knew they had that on top of the Haunted Mansion. The ability to zoom into the image and see the detail is amazing.
The image was shot at dusk and the dark clouds starting to come into view in the sky adds to the whole spooky vibe of the image.
