The Happiest Day of Our Lives...

Fantastic TR I am going nuts waiting for more.

Thank you! I'll update today! :)

Sara Jayne - I am absolutely in LOVE, LOVE, LOVE with your TR/WJ! It's the first thing I run to when I log onto my computer. In fact, I got an angry phone call from one of my business partners the other day asking why I hadn't responded to the bank loan officer's email (who was now calling my partner). Of course I hadn't received the email yet because I was reading your report. Ooops! :confused3 After smoothing that all out, I was right back here though! I can't wait to hear the rest and I think the bright ties are very handsome! What a clever idea! I must say though, I don't know what I"m more amazed with, your incredible organization (truly impressive) or your ability to stay so calm with the hotel potentially burning down during the groomsmen's fitting just before the wedding (absolutely outstanding - cheers)! I would have been a basket case - literally! Waiting anxiously to read and see more! -Ashley

Thank you Ashley! I'm sorry you got into trouble! :wizard: I don't know why I was so calm during the fire alarm ~ I think I thought well, it was Disney ~ how on Earth could it burn down? Ha ha ~ seriously though, I had no idea what to do. I just waited....

Thanks for reading, I will update today! :)

Love your trip report! You guys are adorable! :goodvibes

Thank you! :) :lovestruc :lovestruc

Ah, its fine now! Yay!!

Lol!! Well, we can be the Lady-Bob's together! :goodvibes My name is actually Robyn, but when I was tiny my parents called me 'Baby Bob' and it stuck.... I wish there'd been a cooler way to get my nickname! Lol!

Loving the cravats btw!! Can you remember the supplier on ebay?? We're after bright coloured ones too!

Bob xoxoxox

We are the lady-Bobs (although that sounds rather suspicious... )

The guy on eBay ~ he was on eBay UK and all I typed in was hot pink cravat and there he was. I can't believe I just didn't try there first, I had to hunt every other place on the internet instead..... :sad2: Anyhow, he sent me samples and everything. If you can't find him, I'll trawl my eBay history for you :)

Wow I just got done reading all 14 pages and I am all caught up! LOVING EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the bright colors you picked! I can't wait to read more. You and Gavin are adorable!:goodvibes

Thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying it! I will update today! :dance3:

Continued...

So, all sorted out we waited for everyone else to arrive for the rehearsal, and for them to check into their own Yacht Club rooms for the night. Gavin and I, thinking this would be a fun family event and that everyone would want to celebrate with us, booked and paid for hotels for all of our party so that they would not have to travel on the morning of the wedding. I was pretty excited when I booked that we would all be in the same hotel, I had visions of us all sitting outside by the pool together, or relaxing at Beaches and Cream but of course this never happened at all. Oh well, it’s good to have dreams.

The view from my balcony was fantastic as I could watch the exit of the hotel…the only time it WASN’T fantastic was when we checked in. I just remembered what happened to me. :rotfl:

I was getting changed to go out for our bachelor/ette night and the bellman arrived with some of our things. I asked Gav to answer and get our things in and I hid on the balcony in my underwear, thinking the bellman would hand the cases to Gav as usual and I could come back in. No….! The bellman marches right past Gavin and up to the window (where I am hiding) and puts the cases down and I am holding my breath, pressed against the outside wall so he can’t see me in his peripheral vision. He finally stops chatting with Gav and leaves, and I breath a sigh of relief. Until, that is, the man in the balcony below me and to my left gives me a wave and a wink! I was SO embarrassed! Gav would not stop laughing! *ohhh, the shame…..*

Anyway, back to the fitting….Dad and I were looking over the balcony….

and I spotted Nick, waiting for Katrina…

Me and Dad waited…

2008-08-04_125745.jpg

…and eventually everyone piled into the room! I waited on the balcony whilst everyone chattered and dropped their bags in.

So, we all headed downstairs, me with my ears on for the first time! I was so excited, I felt I could validly wear them now I was so close!

2008-08-04_151646.jpg

Note Dylan's glasses ~ she wore these all of the time because the hot sun "made her eyeballs burn". She is really rather English we decided ~ everything was too hot, too cold, too breezy, too wet, too dry.... We spent a great deal of time laughing over her . She is adorable!

No Ears!?!?!

We were about to leave when I realised that Gav had no ears! He had left his at home in England because his head was too big ~ my super smart husband’s brains cannot fit into normal hats, ever ~ it’s a running joke with us. So, Dylan and I (whose hand I am holding) ran back into the Yacht Club shop and bought some for him. “Quick, quick!” she kept saying, “Uncle Gav needs these for his wedding!” She is so cute.

As we returned, everyone was just leaving the steps… Everyone was smiling and I had renewed hope!

:woohoo:

Get Me To The Gazebo On Time!

And so we made our way to the Yacht Club Gazebo because time was marching on. I am a punctual person (Gav is not) and being late makes me very antsy and crabby. Notice that I am at the front….

The Waiting Game...

Dylan was holding tightly to “Uncle Gav’s” ears.

2008-08-04_152303.jpg

We arrived there and waited for a little while for Diane. Jude was wearing the Ringbearer shirt I had made for him!

Hmmm.... I'm Sure We Need a Reverend for a Rehearsal....

Finally Diane arrived but there was no sign of Rev. Miller! After a little while longer she suggested we do the walk through and someone would try and get hold of Rev. Miller for us.

So we got started! I’m a little sad because I bought lots of big gift ribbons to make a ribbon bouquet with but there was no time and so they went home, unused (although I tie one to each child in my class’s chair when it’s their birthday and then love it).

Gav’s parents walked down, then Mum and Dave walked down, then I jumped into action with my camera ~ I think I was over excited before and fell asleep!

Gav makes his way down the aisle whilst Andrea and Baby Sam look on… Gav wore his Stitch Groom shirt I made for him!

Diane in the far right, whilst Garth, the best man (and Gav’s brother) goes next!

Andy…

My sister ~ look at Gav, loafing at the gazebo!

2008-08-04_154550.jpg

Jude…

2008-08-04_154623.jpg

Jude is dyspraxic and has difficulty walking without looking at his feet, and he did so well! People tend to think of him as the clumsy child but he’s just so loveable. There’s nothing he can do to help it and some people are so rude to him.

Harrison (Katrina and Nick’s son, Gav’s eldest nephew)

2008-08-04_154702.jpg

Harrison downright just would not walk down the aisle and in the end Diane trotted him down. He wanted to play in the bushes instead and Dylan (my niece, one year older) was trying to sort him out but had no luck. She was desperate for her turn to come!

2008-08-04_154904.jpg

Chase went down too but I have no idea where the photo of her got to. Then Diane came to talk to me and dad.

2008-08-04_154954.jpg

Happy we knew what was going on, we stepped off! I held my dad's arm but I knew on the day I wanted to hold my Dad's hand. It was like my last day of being his little girl and I knew he would get emotional if I asked him today, so I just held his arm. Dad has been through some hard times in his life and I've supported him all of the way. I know he's proud of me, but he never tells me. He tells everyone else, but not me.

2008-08-04_155005.jpg

No one else aside from Gavin and I knew that there would be a coach and so Diane did a lot of cover-up for us. She was brilliant.

2008-08-04_155021.jpg

We arrived at the altar and Diane congratulated everyone on a swift rehearsal. We had a quick chat about the seating and that was it!
:hugs:

Help, Anyone?

As we were finishing, people were asking us what we had planned to do next and we said that we were in a bit of trouble as we needed to get all of our wedding things over to Franck’s within the next two hours because they would be needed there. If that had been me who was told that, I would have asked if I could help take some pressure off.

That didn't happen of course! I was about to cry and I could feel myself welling up inside. All I needed was a little help. Just once.

Gav and I stepped away and Diane came over to comfort us as she could see I was getting upset and fanning my face. She asked what the problem was and I told her and she said no problem ~ SHE would take them, in her car to Franck’s, and sort everything out. I was so relieved, I could have cried then!

We headed back into the hotel to get everything whilst Diane went to get her car ~ and who should we meet but Rev. Miller! He was caught in traffic and all flustered and we had a quick chat, told him what we were up to and he tagged along whilst we sorted our things out.

Diane packed her car for us and asked Gav for a word (I found out why on the day!) and I asked what that was, Gav said it was just to make sure he was okay and knew what he was doing. I actually believed it!

Just before she left, Diane handed us a box, wrapped in a big silver ribbon. I was so surprised ~ it was the watches! They are amazing but I have yet to wear mine… I’m too scared!

The Yacht Club is gorgeous. It was the only place I wanted and so I was so glad it didn't rain! I was determined to be married outside... It was perfect! :cloud9: :lovestruc :cloud9: :lovestruc :cloud9: :lovestruc :cloud9:

Those watches are so beautiful. Where did they come from? I am still loving this trip report. I can't wait for you to post more. I started reading it late in the game. It was so much fun getting to zip through 12 pages. Now that I have to wait for updates I'm practically bouncing up and down.:rotfl:

Thank you! The watches were just gifts from Disney, but I don't want to wear mine in case I damage it! I think I might wear it in the New Year, maybe ;)

I'll update tonight, I have a few pumpkins to carve before then ;)

Thank you for reading!!! :wizard:

LOL, I always get a few odd looks when they kids call me Bob out in public!

If you can't find the eBay man, let me know :)

I Met My Hero's Rev.!

We said our goodbyes to Diane and then we went around to the Gazebo to find my mum, dad and Rev. Miller all chatting away. My mum and dad had heard we had problems and came back (they had ducked out to check in whilst we were trying to figure out what to do) to see if they could take the things to Franck’s with us.

So, we all chatted together. I LOVE Rev. Miller. Just adore him. He is the most warm and wonderful, welcoming person ever. I cannot say enough things about him. He made our wedding so fantastic. Just out of this World. I had worried as Gavin is not religious and I had wanted a service that Gavin would believe in, if you know what I mean. So, I spoke with Rev. Miller and he was able to include everything we wanted and more.

Do you see how big Gav's head is, compared to the size of the Groom's hat?

2008-08-04_164158.jpg

Whilst we were chatting to him, we found out that KERRY VON ERICH went to his services! I’ll bet that most of you on here have no idea who that is. He used to go by the name of “The Texas Tornado” and from the age of about 9 until forever, I was his greatest fan. I even used to want to be a WWF Wrestler because of him, much to my mum’s horror. Anyway, I was awestruck ~ what a SMALL World! I felt like I had met my childhood hero! Rev. Miller was laughing away with us and time flew by. My mum and dad were just so impressed and delighted with him. They are still telling people about him now.

In case you have no idea who the “Texas Tornado” was, here he is in all his glory. He died sadly.

kerryvonerich.jpg

I idolised this wrestler for years!

So, we bid farewell to Rev. Miller, shared some hugs with him and my parents then I told Gavin to get his glad-rags on, we were going to dinner!

NEXT UP: Spinach? In my teeth?

The Last Supper as Single People!

Gav had no idea where we were off to for dinner as I had planned this myself months in advance. I decided to take him to Cinderella’s Royal Table to see the Fairy Godmother. I figured if anyone could make our dreams come true, it would be her. I could barely contain myself!

So, we set off to the Magic Kingdom and I marched Gav right around the castle to confuse him (well, to try to), and then back in. It was so funny, there are so few places that you can actually pretend to be going instead of there so it looked quite obvious.

2008-08-04_175826.jpg

So we go in and have our photo and go upstairs. We get given a wand and a sword and we are delighted. The lady on the stairs said we looked like people who would enjoy them! :lovestruc

Upstairs we were seated by a man from Dudley, near my home town! We were surprised and had a little chat with him. He said he loved it when people from England came there as it reminded him of home!:wizard:

He bought us some rolls, it was so beautiful ~ the table runners were so regal! I had my "Disney Bride Sara-Jayne" t-shirt on from my freaky wedding wardrobe and Gav had his beloved Stitch Groom shirt on. :cloud9:

2008-08-04_175801.jpg

Gav had the soup and I had the salad with raspberries. They were both totally tasty! Saying that, they could have been awful and I would not have cared at all ~ we were in Cinderella’s Castle!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

The décor is amazing! I love the hanging drapes, the stained glass windows, the split levels, the brickwork…the runners on the tables…. I could go on and on. Ignore my faces in the photos below ~ I think I was eating!

The aforementioned raspberry salad… I had raspberries feature in our wedding day since I love them so much. I eat them every week and that’s hard here in England. I have to pay ridiculous prices but I can’t go without them. I have to buy berries each time I shop. Gav goes mad, ha ha. There are some things I just cannot live without. When I was little strawberries were seen as a summer treat and so this is probably why I am obsessed with them…..

I LOVE raspberries so much!
