I just remembered one of my AP teachers said they would only write college recommendations to the first ten students that asked them, and we could only ask once it's August. AND IT WILL BE AUGUST IN AN HOUR AND A HALF.
Do I bother emailing and asking? I mean there are over 150 kids that they have taught, but do any of them actually remember the August rule? What if I do ask and I'm not one of the first ten wow how embarrassing to get a reply "sorry i can't you're not one of the first ten". But I could REALLY use a recommendation from them... but even if I did ask what do I even say in the email?
Anxiety on anxiety on anxiety
Just say that you're trying to take care of your college applications as early as possible, and if they're able to write a recommendation, you would greatly appreciate it. If not, you understand.
Something that clearly states what you need, but not overly demanding. And saying you're trying to take care of things early on looks good on you for being proactive/dodges having to acknowledge the August rule.
Best of luck!
