Hefty could either mean big or heavy, or it could mean, well... it could really just mean whatever you want haha.
When I use it, it mostly means cool.

I had an actual conversation with this guy from the Turkish Republic. We talked about Metallica and basketball. It was cool.

They said they lived on a farm, and I said, what animals do you guys have?
And they have chickens, pigs, and two horses.
And I was like... oh nice, we have chickens too, and quail.
So we had a nice long chat about how they always peck at your legs and fly up on you.
And we talked about getting eggs every day and stuff.
