This is my first post on this forum so please no one laugh.I have booked us at the guest house to end our holiday(so i hope they have loads of tissues ready) but how early can you actually use it.The problem is we have booked a villa which we will have to leave at 10ish so we will have a bootful of luggage but our flight doesnt leave until 9ish the same night.
Now as i am a trusting person i arent too bothered but my cynical non trusting other half is worried it might all go walkabout so is it possible to check our baggage off early and go do our own thing and come back nearer flight time.

Hi  and welcome to the boards!

If you are flying with Virgin from Orlando International, you could take advantage of their Downtown Disney drop-off for luggage.

At the guesthouse you dont actually book your luggage in . You have like large pidgeon holes where you can place your luggage then go off and explore the small airport or just relax at the guesthouse and watch a dvd. We were in the same dilema as you were last year and we loaded up the car at 10.00 then went to crazy golf for a couple of hours had lunch in kissimee then made our way to sanford about 1.30- 2.00. arrived at about 3.00 then just relaxed in the guest house untill the flight. The guest house alltough small is well worth the money.(in our opinion):wave2:

Hello, bustersmum and welcome :wave2:

There's nothing to stop you from checking in for your flight (and thus getting rid of your luggage) earlier in the day and then going off for the day. The only problem is that Sanford airport is 45-50 minutes drive from the Disney area.

We always leave our luggage in the boot for the day and have never had a problem, although I acknowledge that's no guarantee we never will.

Welcome.

sorry not much help with your question as we've never flown that late back. But would like to say we thought the Guest house great last August. You don't have to stay in all the time but can wonder in & out by wearing a plastic braclet.

you can easily spend 2, 3 or 4 hours in there.

Have a great holiday & ask lots more questions before you go,

Here's the Sanford website.

You can see pictures of the facilities here. Their FAQ doesn't seem to be working, but you could try emailing them from the "contact us" bit at the bottom of the page. I'm sure they'll be helpful - they get so many UK tourists!
