So with all the, um, "debates" going on over the 1-15 cruise, here's your chance to say something nice about someone - whether you agree with them or not. No point in our being so upset with one another. Life is what it is.

I'll start...

dwkwootton - you're a witty writer.
cindyluwho - your kids are cute.

smchan, (the fat tax comment is destined to become a classic) thanks especially for understanding where I was really coming from. I'm no more concerned about someone's 2nd dessert or 100th soda anymore than someone should be concerned that those of us on the 1-15 cruise might get a drop in the bucket for our trouble.

I appreciate everyone who listened to the dissatisfied 1-15 cruisers with intent to understand, everyone who disagreed in a mannerly fashion, and everyone who disagreed without accusation.

I love this site!!! I have learned so much from everyones personal input. I feel like I know so many of you from reading your posts--good or bad. Some have made me laugh so hard I wanted to fall out of my chair, and some have made me cry with a broken heart.

HumanCookie--thanks for going through the trouble and posting a pic of the Magic docked in St. Maarten today, my friends appreciated it very much, as did I!!! ;)

I too would like to thank everyone who has posted. While I might not agree with everything, I enjoy learning what I can about cruising in generala nd the DCL in particular. some of these threads are addicting. :sunny:

And vice-versa ditto on that!

i would like to say how nice it is to see all the positive comments, i have been in an argument on here for the last few days, because people do not respect what others have to say, i like the way you listen, not necessarily agree but don;t judge
pixie dust to you all

I would like to thank everyone for welcoming newcomers and for all the wonderful information that you share! I've only been on one Disney Cruise and it looks like it will be a while before we take another one (Mom/Grandma has booked a family reunion cruise on Carnival for '05 due to $$$ restraints). But I can come here and get my Cruise fix and hope that someday we will return :wizard:

Usually all the good "debates" were about what to wear to dinner or how much to tip... Now we have what age to give sign in/out privs & who should be compensated for missing ports....

I see threads locked, threads deleted, ok maybe the computer misplaced it.. next will be people being banned....

I think the debate board should make a comeback, No Rules, No moderators.. just a good old fashion web-fight, let everyone get their frustration out...

OK, something positive... the dollar is gaining on the Euro which may be enough to push Disney to sign a contract for two new ships?!?!?!?!?....

Great idea for a thread!
dwkwooten-your post on another thread had me laughing out loud at work. I love a dry wit! (Reminds me of someone else who used to post here)

I just saved some money on my car insurance.....oh, that's TV....

I have been on these boards for years...and still learn something new even after 13 DCL cruises....I know that sometimes we all get crazy with things, but above all, this board is the number one place to learn and share info about all things DCL and I plan on sticking around for a few more years!!! I love my DIS family...my "real" family thinks I need a 12 step program and I tend to agree but I figure it safer than drugs or alcohol!!!

Well, I think everyone on this board is awesome. I know there are some "heated debates" here sometimes, but it would be a VERY boring place if everyone always agreed about everything.
Now...I am very glad that I found this place, because I learned a lot here that we took with us on our first cruise, and I think it was better because of it. I don't know how we would have fared had I not found all the information that I found here.
One person that does stick in my mind is Verandah Man...I just thought it was so nice of him to post live updates for us when he and his DW were on their anniversary cruise. He seems to be a very nice person!
I hope that maybe on a future cruise I'll be able to meet some fellow Dis'ers! :grouphug:

These boards are great-- we have learned so much from everyone-- thank you! They also get you excited, anticipating a great vacation. And maybe hearing about so many fabulous experiences makes you more aware when things (controllable or not, weather and all) don't go absolutely "perfectly", as with the 1/15 cruise. Maybe some folks just needed to vent their disappointment to sympathetic ears and get a big hug with wishes for better luck next time. That's what we've gained, and we hope others have too. Thanks everyone. :earsboy:

These boards are great! I have learned so much here. It feels like a second family. :grouphug:

i agree i do not mind trading what i will call intelligent and respectful insults, i feel as long as no one is cursing anyone out, voices can be heard, even while i was under attack on another board it made me laugh, it is funny how we are all protective over disney in one form or another, i have received several private im and i would like to thank all those people. It would appear the latest war is over so i am happy to be reading happy posts

Remember...if things get too heated here with our cruisin' buddies we can always go over to the resort board and ask about using our Dixie Landings mugs at Wilderness Lodge...they love that. :teeth:
