:thumbsup2 WE LOVED POP!! Stayed there for 12 nights in July and it was the best!...We stayed in the 50's, the one with the lady and the tramp. Not too far from the food court , quiet...loved it. Had a great view of the lake.
I would recommend POP to anyone....Have a great time... :yay:

Was your room a preferred room? :goodvibes We are staying there next September, and are toying with the idea of a preferred room.

I'm from the UK. We will be staying at Pop for the first time in Sept 07. We are already SOOOOO excited  I have read that people sometimes decorate their windows. Can someone please tell me if this is all year round or only for Christmas , Halloween etc? DD7 would love to do this but I don't know if it will be appropriate at the time we are there. She would use a general Disney theme, Princess Jasmine is the flavour of the moment :goodvibes
Check out the thread by DisneyMommymichele on decorating your window at Pop , she has lots of open slots for windowdecorating boxes. :cheer2: :cheer2: :moped:

Ok ......I have stayed at Pop before and absolutely LOVED it! But now I am getting a little scared. We will be going in the beginning of Dec. and I am told that Pop is sold out that week. I know the Pop Warner group may be there and Mousefest is in town, but is there other things that I am missing? Has anyone ever stayed in Pop when it was FULL? I know when we were there in Feb. it was a little busy, but I don't think it was full. I know the food court was crazy then and am a little scared about how it will be this time. It seems as though the only thing not booked to capacity is the AKL and FW. What am I missing? Were the deals that good? (I missed out on all of them as we booked this kind of last minute). Did everyone learn that the first week of Dec. is supposed to be low crowds? I even had a CM tell me that you will enjoy your time here then as we have low crowds at that time. I asked how can you say you have low crowds when you're telling me pretty much every resort is booked? She laughed and said well I guess it won't be this time. Please help, short of changing our dates!

We were just there 9/20 thru 9/25 and POP was full then also. It was fine. Our room was quiet--we were in the 80's (Roger Rabbit) building. I think we waited only 10 minutes in line for anything except for the bus at night after a park closing. Even then, I think we only waited 25 minutes--they were loading 2 and 3 buses at a time. The food court was a little crazy on the mornings when we didn't get up early. If you went between 8:30AM and 10AM it was busy down there. Of course, most people were trying to figure out the free dining plan and that held up the cashiers trying to explain it to them. If they'd only read the Dis before they go... :goodvibes

I almost forgot--you'll love early December at WDW. Everything is beautifully decorated and the crowds are VERY small. It is my favorite time to go there.

I've tried doing a search and can't come up with anything...

I'm looking for info in the gift shop. Like what kind of things they sell, prices, etc. I mean are the prices going to be the same as the shops in the theme parks? Any pics to check out?
Thanks!@

Well - I stayed at POP a year ago May and it wasn't even full and we had problems. I can tell you, however, that sometimes even though it seems like the hotels are full, it may all be OK. I know when we went on May it only lasted for a couple of days and after that the World was a ghost-town :) Good luck! We had an issue with waiting in the food court and the busses because we travelled with 2 - two year olds. Might not be so bad for you....

Tinan,
it looks like you will be there for the Pop Warner football Super Bowl the Cheer and Dance championships. I accidentally caught the tail end of it one year. Yow! Way too many kids for me. We stayed at one of the value resorts that year. There were 10,000 (exaggeration) kids between the age of say 6 and 13. Remember, these are little football players and cheerleaders. Usually 2 or 3 (or more) to a room. Staying up late, getting up early, running the halls....... Never again.

2005 Pop Warner Super Bowl
December 4 - 10, 2005

2006 National Cheer & Dance Championships
December 5 - 8, 2006

We usually go around this time, so I always check ahead of time. We are going Nov 30 for the MVMCP and will stay a couple of days.

If it doesn't bother you, by all means have a good time. If I had a choice, I would reschedule
enjoy,
Duane

They sell hats, shirt, sun glasses, medicine, watches, strollers (umbrella), luggage, ect.

Hi! i wanted to know does the pop century has a free parking when you check-in. and does the pop century has extra magic hours benefit?:mickeyjum :figment::confused:

Yes, POP has free parking. The lots are fairly big, so we did not have a problem finding a parking space either.

Can anyone tell me if you can buy bottled water, juice boxes and breakfast items (like a box of doughnuts) at the store at POP? If so, how much do they cost? Just trying to decide if I should get grocery delivery or not. It's just me and my 7 year old DD, not sure if it's worth the money to get groceries delivered. Any suggestions? We'll be at POP in 20 days! :Pinkbounc :woohoo: Can't wait! :yay:

I noticed bottled water, several kinds of cereal in single serving packages, milk, chocolate milk, juices, Poweraid, fruit cups, chips, etc. They had powered donuts for sure because we bought some. I don't recall if they had glazed donuts, but I thought I saw a sign for Krispy Kreme somewhere around the resort (but don't quote me on that).

Sorry I can't help you with prices. We were on the dining plan so I didn't pay much attention to price, but I'm sure they weren't cheap :)

traces7 how many days are you and your son staying? Water is 2:50 a bottle everywhere in Disney including the Pop so we are also thinking of having it delivered. I'm just not sure how many bottles to get since it's not as hot in December as it is in October. But the price of water at Disney does add up so depending on your length of stay it might be worth it to have some sent over to the Pop for you guys. Otherwise another good thing is the refillable mug, but yes like mdfdisney said they do have juice boxes and other breakfast foods in the grab and go section of the Everything Pop food court and other than the water, I didn't think the price of the food items much higher than anywhere else.

The Pop in 20 days?! Or is it 19 now :goodvibes ?! You better get a packing and checking those lists because you will be there before you know it :thumbsup2 !
Have fun!

We had a case of bottled water from Staples delivered to Pop for our week-long stay. It was about $7.00, which is MUCH cheaper than buying individual bottles at Pop's food court and in the parks. Go to staples.com and do a search for water. If you join the (free) Staples club, then your shipping will be free. Be sure to order it about a week before you go, and put your reservation number in the address.

Also, the refillable mugs are a great bargain. The slushie machine was a highlight of our Pop stay. :thumbsup2
