Anyone know where I can get a layout of the theater???

I don't have a layout but it like over a half circle so the supposed best seats are head onto the stage which is the middle sections ! If you check over on the Theme parks and strategies and look for a Disser named Robo he is the GURU on stuff like that !!

Can't wait to see you all there! We leave in three days! :cool1:

I was thinking of putting up a couple of scrapbook pages on the door for people to sign. I heard people get lots of signatures. Do people do this at POP?

I did this last September. I used heavier paper than scrapbook paper though. I put out a new sheet with an invitation to sign each morning (used fridge magnets from the dollar store to hold it up and clipped a package of markers next to it.

My room mate thought I was nuts. But by the second day, she was hooked on reading all the message we got. We had people from all over the world signing in their native language. It was sooo cool - may favorite souvenir from our whole trip...and we were there for Epcot's 25th so that's saying something.

Ok...I'm totally stressed:scared1: I have to call today and make a slight change to my ressie but I also need to add my room request.

Here's what I want so tell me what you suggest.....
1.to eliminate as much extra walking as possible (I have joint problems)
2.quiet

I have booked a preferred room and I think I might like to be in the 70's. We are staying for 13 nights, so the room location is important. Also, we intend to use the pool often.

Also, are people still faxing in room requests as a back up????

Just yesterday, I changed my room request to Preferred 4th floor of the 60's, pool side. Is that what you had? If so, how was the noise? Were you happy with it?

We weren't poolside and it was quiet, but I think it would be quieter on the th floor poolside than lower down!!

I called to add a room location request to our reservation and was told by the CM that all of the 60's were preferred and I couldn't ask for those buildings. I'm just going to wait until just before we leave and fax them our location request for a room in the 60's or 70's buildings. That should work! :thumbsup2

The 60's used to be all preferred but last year not all rooms were preferred! So unless they recently changed it the CM was wrong!!

I have a standard room booked and the request on my ressie is for either the 60's or 50's and the ground floor with a pool view as i have knee problems and would like to not have to do any extra walking or climbing because it can be very painful especially after a long day in the parks! And they added it with no problem but I did not tell them of my knee problems etc.. I only gave my request but when i fax I will add that in the notes.

Thanks for all the replies about laundry. Sounds like it will be very easy get everything clean mid week.
I probably didn't need to buy a checked bag for each person. . .

WE ARE LEAVING IN THE MORNING!!!
This will be our first stay at the Pop. I haven't posted on here before, been busy reading all 145 pgs.
I just wanted to thank everyone for all the info. I've learned a lot of great tips and I'm super excited for our stay!

Our flight isn't until Monday, but my family's leaving Sunday because it's a two and half hour drive to the airport (in San Antonio, TX), and since I was doing the planning I booked a 5:40 AM flight. :scared1: My parents weren't too happy. :rotfl: Thanks for all the advice! I've never stayed at POP before but I'm sure I'll love it!

Let us know how you liked Pop and any new tips you have!!

Last night we made our room request. We requested a room in building #6 or #10 in the 70's section. And not the first floor. We booked a standard room. The women was very pleasant and was glad to assist us.
Another thing, if you are going to ship a package to the resort. Put the resort address and at the end write "Attention: Guest and your name with no res. number. She told us absolutely not to put our res. number.

4 days left, bags packed, I don't who's more excited the kids or the parents

Can someone tell me why you'd need to buy a checked bag. I don't plan on doing laundry while we're there and we're staying for 13 nights. We both are planning on taking one carry on and one (large) checked bag. Do I need to purchase the checked bag? (We're flying AirTran)

Several airlines are now charging you for not only your 2nd piece of luggage, but even your FIRST checked bag. I'm not even going to comment on if you'll have to or not! Not gonna touch it!! :) As you probably know, once one airline does it, many follow suit. So if they don't do it today, they could be doing it next week. I suggest that you either call AirTran customer service before you go or read their luggage rules on their website.

This link is the map that shows the preferred locations. You can find this link on page one of this thread. Of course Disney could have changed the preferred locations since this map was created but I haven't heard that they did...yet.

::yes:: In addition, there are links in Post #1 showing preferred rooms up close with room numbers for each individual building.
