I am staying at POP again in 3 weeks...I have never requested a Preferred room before. Should I call before we go to confirm this or just wait til we get there?

You must have your preferreed room booked on your origional reservation, as it cost more to have one. So if you want to change form a standard to preferred you need to contact whoever you made your reservations with and have it added, but it will cost more as well.

Do you mean requests? You should make all requests in order of importance when you call to make your reservations. They assign the rooms five days out if you wait until then it is a good chance you won;t get your requests.

Hi All,
I'm trying to decide between AS Music family suites or 2 connecting rooms at Pop. Do you know if it's possible to get 2 connecting rooms with one room having a king size bed?

If I'm reading this right there are 2,880 rooms at Pop. 72 rooms per floor X 4 floors X 10 buildings.

Half of those rooms are connecting yet I did NOT recieve a connecting room on the 2 times I requested it-not family trips so it wasn't a huge problem.

75 of the rooms at Pop are non handicap King rooms and another 120 rroms are handicap King rooms. All king rooms are connecting.

Call your AAA agent today and have them put that in your reservation. Yo ucan then fax 4 days prior if you want to reconfirm it. But thats not neccessary. I did fax though and got exactly waht i wanted. Tips for faxing I have read is to do it after 4. I did it around 5 or 6. And make it sound as nice as can be and don't make it sound like you HAVE to have, but more like you would aprreciate it.

I got a pin code in the mail yesterday and have Popped booked now (at a better rate than before) and it's obviously a non preferred room so...

Where are the best room locations thats are:
close to the main building
near a main walkway (i'm traveling alone)
In the 50's or 70's Section
and
on an upper floor?!

Do it NOW! You need to make sure it's on your ressie ASAP. Do not wait to fax, as there is NO guarentee they will even read your fax.

No. You paid for it, you get it. It's in your ressies, right?
If preferred is not showing up on your ressie, call now, as there has been some sort of mistake!
If it is, you'll get it. It's not a request, it's a paid for service.

Here is my question: What time does bell services close for the night? We are flying in late and probably won't make it to POP until 11:30pm or later. I would prefer to store all my luggage with bell services and just have our overnight necessities in our carryon luggage which will come to the room. Will they still be open?

They don't have bell services per se, but they do have that storage area where you can keep stuff. I have no clue on the hours though. Can you maybe see if your main luggage can jsut be sent to GF right off the bat, since you won't need it till then?

KAT look at the post a couple above yours it had a great link to Pop rooms and layout !!I HAD A FIRST FLOOR IN THE 50'S BUT IT WAS QUITE A DSITANCE FROM THE FOOD COURT AND BUSES 70'S OR 60'S MIGHT BE CLOSER !!

You don't say how you are getting to Pop Century from MCO. But, I'll assume you're using DME because, if you were driving, you would just leave the luggage in your car, right. So, if using DME, your luggage won't arrive at the resort until several hours after you check in. When you check in ask that they hold your luggage for you in storage until the next day as you will already be asleep.

Then, the next morning, go up to the Front Desk to check out. Verify, that your luggage has, indeed, arrived. And, ask that they transfer it to GF as you will be checking there later in the day. It should be no problem at all and go off without a hitch.

They can't deliver your luggage directly to GF as the special yellow tags are bar coded to tie to your reservation.

We are flying in at 9:30pm. And our travel agent told us not to use the Magic Express tags, to claim our bags ourselves. That way we wouldn't have to wait for our bags to get dropped off.
But we'll still be able to be use the transportation.

Yes they will print you passes but if you are in the parks at the 24 hour mark I know they do them at City Hall at MK as we did that !!

Whenever we stay at Pop Century I always request a preferred room in the 60's area overlooking the Hippy, Dippy pool on the 3rd or 4th floor. So far I have received the location each time. We just love waking up each morning looking out over the pool area. If I were you I would call with your building request ASAP and not wait before you go. At least you could say you requested this location a while ago and hope you receive it before waiting. Have a great time.

I am not sure what you mean but I am almost positive that you need to go in person to the desk to have your boarding passes printed out. That way you can check to make sure all of the info is correct and they hand them to you right then and there. I am assuming they would not want to be responsible for misplacing your boarding passes.
