It has long been our tradition to go over to the Poly to watch Wishes (do not forget the EWP too). We take the bus to either EPCOT or MK and catch the monorail to Poly (resort monorail) because we like the ride and often ride around a few times before getting off. It is a bit easier to get the monorail from EPCOT btw.

When we leave the Poly we take a bus to DTD, as it comes more often that time of night, and then to our resort for the same reason.

Maybe there is a better way but that is how we do it. I will be there 08/31. See you there??

Hello all,

I have a question for you regarding transportation to the MNSSHP. We are currently booked into a RO at WL for the last three nights of our stay. I am thinking of changing over to POP for the last three nights, to save some more $$. (Plus DS 8 really wants to stay at the "Hippy Dippy place"!) :confused3

How is transportation to MK from POP and back on the party nights? Is it congested, fast, terrible, awesome, or just ok? We have never done a party there or even EEMH.

TIA
Karen :flower3:

I have always found the transportation to the parties to be fine, you do have to wait in line, but they move pretty quickly and I find that the buses come quickly, no longer than 10-15 minutes. Home from the parties is a little different. The lines are longer and it is definitely a longer wait 30-40 minutes, but, that wait is how long you wait no matter how you go, ferry, monorail, etc.

I can't wait! I need a vacation and I only have a little over three mnths left! :cool1:

For room request 5 days out, do you call WDW Disney registrations or POP directly?

thanks,

You can add it to youre reservation now as a request and either fax or call the hotel directly 5 days prior but it should also be noted on youre ressie! i would fax attn room assigner but thats up to you. Ive gotten requests previously just being noted on my ressie and calling 5 days prior to be sure it was there!:thumbsup2

OMG!

We Had to change our travel dates and guess what!!! In One Week We Both Will Be AT POP!!!!

WE Are So EXCITED!!!

We just did the Pirate and Princess party last week and stayed there until close. POP was the only resort with a line for the bus, but it didn't take long to get through. I think we only waited maybe 15ish minutes. Then again, I was always carrying a sleeping 8 month old and a sleeping 3 yr old while my husband carried the stroller, so it may have seemed longer than it actually was. :rotfl2: It did seem like for whatever reason last week that POP always had a line (never too bad though) even when all other resorts had no lines, and POP was always one of the last pick up places.

This wasn't that big of a deal to us as we often met a nice family to talk with, but I do know that it bothers some so I just wanted to pass that info along.

Quick Question to someone thats a "pop expert". I would like to request a King Room on the 3rd or 4th Floor overlooking the lake. Can anyone give me Room #'s as well as the building? Everytime I look at a map of Pop I get very confused as to what room is on what floor, etc. Oh ya non-preferred please! Thanks :thumbsup2

I too want to know the answer to this question, but I don't care if it is preferred or not. My dh and I are going in May 09 and we are going to stay at Pop.

Just booked my ressie for Dec. 6 - Dec. 13, w/dining. Now the count down begins.

I could have typed this myself. We also took a 7month old(and 4yo) and Dh had to carry the stroller. Pop always had a line when we were there. On the Thursday night we were at MK it was a AWFUL line. We waited for like 45min. There were lines for each place, but the LONGEST line was for Pop.

The lines were always FULL at MK but not as bad at the other parks.

I do have it on my ressie. But will fax to the room assigner today.

I just booked for Pop Century, May 29-June 5 it will be our first stay at a Disney Resort. We are flying through Southwest, if I remember correctly we have to pick up our luggage at the airport. When does the information for magical express arrive, and how does it work? Where do we go at the airport? How long does it take to get to the Pop?

thanks.

Sorry if I'm confusing, still jet-lagged from a very long trip.

You need to be registered thru Disney or your TA for Magical Express. If you are, you should receive in the next few days a booklet and luggage tags from them. If a week before your trip, you still haven't rec'd them, then call and they'll overnight 'em to you. (my TA last Dec. had to do that)

If you have the luggage tags on your suitcase, you won't need to pick up your luggage at the airport.

Ok..... I could write a really long post answering all your questions but the easiest thing is for you to go to the:
Transportation Forum and there's several 'sticky' topics at the top that will answer everything you ever wanted to know.

King rooms are often Handicapped shower rooms and may not be available! But you certainly can request it. Some are connecting also !!

When you get your booklet, it will have all the info pretty much. It has am ap to tell you where to go. I was worried too, but it was very easy. ME will take your bags to pop for you, but on the way home you need to take care of your luggage. Now if you airline is a participating one, then you can check in for your departure at pop, but I don't know all the details on that.
The transportation board will give you lots of info.
