We are going to Pop in mid June and I was wondering if someone can tell me if the parking lots ever fill up and if so which ones? And also whats the best building to request (standard room) if I want the easiest walk to the parking lot?

We have found that no matter what building we are in, when we would come back later at night, we always had to park further away from where we had to go!

I wonder if I could pick all your brains for a minute. For those of you who have toddlers, or have traveled with them, has anyone tried to use the Aerobed for Kids in a Pop room?

DS3 is much too big for a pack n play crib. I have requested bed rails for one of the beds, but he sleeps like a fish out of water! Don't know who he got that from! ;)

At any rate, I know most likely, he'd end up picking me or DH to sleep with, and I'm not sure how well this is going to work. He's very good about sleeping in his toddler bed at home so I don't want to go backwards on vacation, KWIM?

Anyway, here's a link to it as well, perhaps some of you experts could take a look and tell me if you think it's worth it. It seems to have excellent reviews.

Aerobed for Kids

Sorry if this has already been addressed, the search function isn't working for me. :goodvibes

We use this. It's a child sized cot. It's surprisingly comfy & folds up about 1/2 the size of a pack-n-play (folds like an umbrella). Has it's own case & a sheet (and we add a sheet on top of that). Would most likely fit in a suitcase. We haven't flown w/ it yet, but I think I would gate check it if I was to take it on an airplane.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I know you've become a resident Pop exeprt! :goodvibes

Now, if only I could find it for $30. I so cannot find that price on Amazon. :confused3

I must have gotten in on a close-out or something. About a month after I rec'd mine, I looked on Amazon again (or maybe they emailed me) Anyways, the same bed was up to $60 something. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time.:thumbsup2

jenseib, sometimes is the operative word. We used to be asked for our driver's license to get a cart all the time, then sometimes and lately, no so much. I think they were having problems with kids taking them and joy riding in the lots. We used to even have a time limit, 20 minutes. :scared1:

I wish that they would have a few back in the parking lots where people pack and unpack. Maybe an Aldi's like fee to avoid folks taking advantage?

We just requested "Closest to Classic Hall, Closest to parking lot" and we were in the 50s, Lady Bldg, back side, not pool side. It was great.

We were as close to Classic Hall as we could be without paying for preferred.

We do not drive while we're there, but wanted the ease of unloading, and getting things from the van.

We also have stayed behind the juke box bldg., 50s, and although that is a further walk to Classic Hall, there is tons of parking back there. There were even some spots only a few steps away from the rooms.

Happy planning!

How big a child will this hold? Ironically, I was looking at them for my 5 y.o. girls just last week, but I can't tell if they'd be big enough. The girls are about 46" tall and weigh about 45 lbs. The specs say they'd work, but I don't want to buy them and then have to return them.

We bought a ready bed for DD about 3 years ago and have never had a problems with her in it at all. She was almost 2 when she first used it and she will be 4 in September when we take our next trip. You have to pump it up with a foot pump and it slides into a blanket type cover. We usually put this either between the two beds or between the bed and the wall near the bathroom. She just loves it and it is very easy to pack in our luggage. I hope you find something that works for you!

If you want to look at the ready beds, go to target.com and search for ready beds.

You know, I never thought to put the ready bed between the two beds. Have you done this at Pop and it fits?:)

we just returned from 4 days at POP. Another great trip! I love this resort. I do have to say, when we arrived on Wednesday the line for check in was insane!! There were only 5 CM's working the check in and it took over 40 minutes to make it thru the line! that was crazy! But we made it thru, and I got my box just fine! :thumbsup2 And our room was ready when we checked in at noon!! We did get the lake view that we requested, but we did NOT get the refigerator that I specifically requested for DS's food allergy. That is the 2nd time we've stayed and requested a fridge and didnt' get one. :headache: :headache: :headache: That really bothers me!

Anyway, we were in the 50's bldg, facing Hour Glass Lake.

As horrible as it sounds, we never made it into the food court. We just ate all our meals in teh park. We did want to use the food court when we returned from the P&PP friday night, but it had closed already. It would make sense on nights when the parks are open past midnight, that the only restaurant on property be open past midnight also.

We were chose as Resort Family of the Day, our only Magical Moment of the Trip. When we got back from dinner at 1900 Park Fare, we had a certificate, picture frame and rubics cube in our room. very cute. we also got turndown service for that night.:thumbsup2

And we also got Balloons and a signed picture from Mickey and Minnie and Balloons for our Anniversary.

Holy Heck! I woulda been P'ed off! How can they do that when it's something
extra your paying for? How did you manage? I mean, have you or anyone else
been able to get away with using a good sized cooler to store perishable
things in and just ice it every morning b4 leaving?

because it was for a medical condition, we didn't have to pay for it. We ended up having to fill the sink with ice every day to keep his milk and other food cold.:confused3

There are also luggage loading/unloading zones which we utilized the morning we packed up. We were parked just a row back in the 50's lot between the Lady bldg and the jukebox building (our room was across the pool) but hey... every little step counts when you're packing your car after a week's stay at WDW

I may be wrong but I think the free fridges for medical reasons are very small and just for medications although some people have reported getting regular size ones !! This may explain why you didn't get one, but it is just a guess!!

If you keep checking Amazon you may find a good price. They have a Deal Of The Day, which is an item listed at a pretty nice discount. They also have Lightning Deals, which is a bout 4 items a day at a discount but only for a few hours each.

OK thanx for this info. I think we are going to just request closest to parking lot.

Are there pictures anywhere of the lil fridges you'll get with the $10 per day
rate over at POP? I'd love a link! TIA!

They are like the dorm size fridges the cubes !! Big enough to hold 2liter of pop in door and half gallons of milk not sure a gallon would fit. Look at Walmart they have them for around $60 you'll get a good idea of what would fir!!

I don't think that is tru. When we got them, we just walked to where they wer and took one. No one was around or asked us anything. And when we got of ME, they were just waiting outside, with no one around them either. Maybe during a really busy time they may, but honestly, they are big and bulky, so who wants to keep them any longer than you have to.

When we stayed at value resorts, we also had to check one out and leave an id. Yes, they are big, but it keeps someone from just leaving it outside their room. We had to go to the outside luggage storage area to get ours.
