Yes def bringing our own stroller just incase we get any delays at airports. She has a problem with her legs (muscles not developing) and finds it difficult to walk long distances she has to wear these things in her shoes to help her. If I fax Pop this info nearer the time do you think they might provide us with a room that is nearer to the facilities.

Is there anywhere at Pop to use a computer with an internet connection? Or somewhere else on property? My wife is in a very competitive school and needs to register for classes at midnight during our vacation. This is the only time we'll need it. Thanks

There is not a PC available for use, if that's what you're referring to. The best chance, if there is one, is to see if one of the deluxe resorts has a business center where you can rent time on a machine. Honestly I don't think you're going to find a place though.

However, if you have a laptop to bring with you, you can connect in your room. See Post #1 regarding fees.

....but which is best building and floor to ask for to be near pools and buses.

Hello there! SPAM provided a map, and you'll also find maps from Post #1. Between them all, hopefully it will give you a good sense of the property.

I'll just add that in terms of getting "closest" because of tired little feet, keep in mind that even though a "Preferred Room", for example, is considered closest to Classic Hall, you may have to walk all the way to the elevators, then backtrack to get to the room itself...that is unless you're on the first floor or willing to take the stairs at the end of the building, of course. So you may want to keep that in mind, too.

The property really isn't THAT spread out like you may be familiar with at other WDW resorts. Upon review of the maps, you'll realize that especially if you consider getting to the buses by NOT taking the "inside path" to get to the back of Classic Hall, but rather take the paths that lead to the parking lots, in some circumstances it can be a shorter route and fewer steps to the bus stop.

Whatever you choose, I'm certain you'll have a grand time!

HI

This is our 1st ever trip to Disney and we are staying at pop.

I have a 4yr old and a 9yr old. The 4yr old isn't that keen on walking to far (dont no how she gonna cope in disney) but which is best building and floor to ask for to be near pools and buses.

Thanks very excited family of 4

One of the best bits of advice I ever got was to "train" my daughter to walking before the trip. I explained to my daughter that we'd be doing a lot of walking at WDW and we needed to get used to walking a lot. Every night after dinner we'd go for progressively longer walks. It was so easy because we'd use that time to talk about Disney, what we wanted to see and do etc. It helped build excitment about the trip and it really did make a difference in her endurance. Not to mention a lot less whining.

Congrats you really will love it!

If you have medical needs they try to accommodate those. Make sure you let them know on your ressies.

Good! Did you see how much the rental strollers are going up on 4/6? $15/single, $31 double:scared1:

:thumbsup2 Good question! I'd like to know also!

I have heard $12.00 per day. Check out the link in my signature for a fridge swap...we still have some great summer dates open! It would be less than $5.00 total for your stay!

Can somebody help? This is our first trup to POP. Where can you find a map for the resort buildings. I had a note to myself to request Lakeside 60's upper floor but I can't remember why. Is this a good room? We have booked preferred to be closer to the food court. We leave next Wed :cool1: .

Thanks so much.

You need to call right now and have that request added. They make the room assignments about 3 days prior to arrival. I don't know if lakeside 60's is considered preferred.

Can someone explain to me how the refrigerator situation works? I'll probably rent a refrigerator, but how does it get to the room and set up? Do they deliver it to the front door, or do they actually come in the room and "install" it?

Thanks!

I also know about the fridge swap, but i'd like to find this out as well :D

My experience has been that I request one and they have it on my reservation. They always have waited until I arrive to deliver it to my room and plug it in for me. Our last fridge never seemed to get too cold though:(

If you rent a fridge, they bring it on a hand-truck and "install" it in your room (meaning, they put it in the room and plug it in).

It is quite small and usually kind of beat up. I think they get a lot of use! :rotfl:

I'm signed up for the fridge swap 7/27-8/2 .

WHO GETS THE $5?????:confused3 :confused3 :hourglass

I'm sooo confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

aimee, the suggested $5 is a tip for the luggage person who hauls it to the room and picks it up. At least that's what I did last year at ASMu, and will do this year at POP.

we requested a fridge for the 8 days we're staying there and they told us
$10/day. however, we decided since we're driving down, we'd be better off simply buying a new fridge up here and bringing it with us! hey, we can spend $80 to rent or $80 to buy ($79.99 to be exact ;) ) i have a dd who's off to college in the fall and can take it!

I just booked a Suprise 3 night stay for just my boys and me 5 and 8. We have always stayed at the wilderness lodge and honestly I have never seen or been to POP but I had to go Value this time to pull off a quick trip and I am excited to try something new! I have a few questions if some of you could help.

The buses...If I have breakfast at the Contemporary at 7:50 am, will I have to take a bus at 7 and go to a park to get one to Contemporary and do they run that early and will it take that long?

The food court....Disney is great dealing with my Gluten allergy at all the restraunts we love, question is about the food court at POP, we will be doing a quick breakfast there one morning do you think they will be able to accomodate? I am craving some Gluten free pancakes!!

Also...I was only able to book a standard room, perferred was not available..should i call and request a special type of room? Or location...any suggestions?

I am so excited to suprise my boys with this trip, I want to make it perfect!!

Thanks for your help!!

As far as getting to the Contemporary, you can either take a taxi or do the bus thing. Take a bus to MK then get on the Monorail to get to the CR. WE did that last time (06) and it worked out fine. ORRRR if you want you can always walk to the CR from MK. It shouldn't take but a few min!!
As far as the pannicakes go...no idea!
Also when you check in ask them what rooms are available. You might be surprised. We got a room in the 70's building ( right in front) and was close to everything!!! Plus the HUGE Big Wheel was cool to look at everyday!
