Wait...just remembered...here's another...from Halloween in WDW last year!

Thanks for the pix Kat, so all the newbies Know what it is!:cool1:

For those that have a fridge in your room....where do you put it? Also, if you are a fridge swapper....where do you put the box?

I ask because we are staying 2 weeks and with 4 people in the room space is at a premium. I want to be as organized as possible. If I start asking DH to put the fridge here and then try it over there, no no move to this spot.......he'll make me sleep by the pool.:rotfl:

I've always put it next to the table or in the corner near the window. We stayed in a handicapped accessible kingsized bed room last time and there was a fridge IN the entertainment center. I'll look for photos and see if I took a shot. I would agree that space is limited ... above the entertainment center on in the lavatory area of the bathroom may be your only choices for the box.

Enjoy your 2 weeks. I'd love to be able to stay that long. <Sigh!!!> <Green with Envy>

As for the fridge, you are limited to where the plug is at unless you bring an extension cord, then you can put it where ever it fits best, like in between the table and entertainment center so it is out of the way, but still accessible.

Thanks for the tip!! I just added an extension cord to my packing list.

the extension cord is a great idea - in those Pop rooms, we otherwise have to use that outlet on the floor next to the bed (by the bathroom) - the extension cord will help out

The rooms at Pop are small but not tiny! I put the fridge by the table near the window using an extension cord! The box might fir on or under the clothes rack. I put it by the table but I was solo so had plenty of room!!

The fridge was already delivered to our room when we got there, and plugged in and running. They had it between the table and the window. Didn't need an extension cord.
We even fit a pack and play beside it without moving the table. The rooms are small, but not as tiny as you'd think.

I just have to say, this thread is amazing! I'm staying at Pop for the first time in a few weeks and I had no clue what to expect. Thank you so much for all the amazing information!

Folks, make sure to bring a heavy duty rated extension cord and not a regular one for the fridge. A regular one would pose a fire hazard and I do not want anything bad to happen to you. :worship: I have never stayed at POP but have stayed at every one of the other Values and never had a problem with plugging the fridge in over by the window or door usually.

Not feeling too well today so please pardon the informal reply.

A lot of people also recommend bringing a power strip, so that you have extra plugs for camera chargers, cell phones, etc.
Not particularily for the fridge.
We usually have 2 rooms, so don't need this as much, but it might help someone out.

Feel better Linda!

Thank you for the advice. I honestly didn't think of that! I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks.....I've got some idea of what to do with it now. I had not considered an extension cord. I already have a TON of stuff to bring so what's one more thing?:confused3

Just another plug for an extension cord or power strip...

DH travels alot for work and he says that an extension cord would really help him out with his laptop. Not all the hotels have plugs near the table where he would prefer to do his work.

Question about the mugs. You can refill them at Pop for the duration of your stay right?
Thanks:wizard:

Not sure if I mentioned it before but learned this from experience!! They have a ping pong table , paddles are free but balls cost 50c , so next trip we are bringing our own. I saw them at Walmart a lot cheaper than 50c !!

Another question about the mugs...

Thanks to Tracie, DH and I are definitely getting mugs for ourselves but do we need to buy them for our kids or can they drink from our mugs? DS3 can barely even finish a juice box in one sitting so it makes sense to me to give him a few swigs of my frozen coke by the pool but I wouldn't want to be breaking any Pop Century rules (or at least get caught doing it ;).

Just back from my 2nd stay at Pop and I still LOVE it. Got 4th floor lake view again :thumbsup2 Very quiet.

Went with friends so I took an Aerobed (twin) to sleep on. No problem with finding room for the bed. I moved the table and chairs to in front of windows and put bed along TV wall. Worked great except that I was always cold while my friends in the beds were warm/hot. My bed was by a vent and cold air return.

We also put a curtain over the bathroom/sink area to make a 'dressing room'. Worked like a charm. I didn't take a tension rod because it didn't fit in suitcase. Instead I used two strong 'temporary' hooks.

Got to eat my beloved Asian Chicken salad not once but twice. I tried to get the recipe but they were busy a lot. I also had the Chicken Alfredo again and boy it's rich but delish. We ate tie-dyed cheesecake and Mickey bars at Pop. I didn't know they had Mickey bars but it worked great for us on our last night.

Kudos to the staff at Everything Pop. They refilled the cocoa machine at 11:45 pm on several nights.

We had problem with bus one night coming back from Epcot. Long, long wait. No other problems after that. In fact, at the MK they had two bus stops for Pop. That kept things moving.

I and my friends loved Pop, the shop, the foodcourt, Disney TV. That Stacy is a hoot. Loved her "it's like going to Africa but without the Malaria shots" or the "faster than you can say 'where's my bathing suit' " :lmao:

There wouldn't be a problem with mug-sharing. Enjoy your trip.

I just want to say that this thread keeps me so excited about our upcoming trip to POP! Most of our stays have been deluxe so I was concerned but I just know that this will be great for DS and I! :cool1: ::yes::

Definitely bringing the curtain for the dressing area ... that is a fantastic idea I would have never thought of on my own.

We just recently got a laptop (it's actually still in the box!) and will have Verizon internet access because WiFi access in our town is spotty. Will we be Ok at POP? Are there extra charges will will have to pay or can we just plug in and 'go'? :confused3 I am brand new to the world of laptops and trying to figure it out as we go along.
