We were originally booked for 4 nights, but after this cruise came up I ended up replanning the whole trip. It's pretty awesome because we planned to do a 7 night cruise next year, and now we will get to score a sweet deal by booking on board!

I did it! I just booked our FIRST Disney trip and we're headed to the POP baby!!!! :dance3:
Now the REAL planning begins!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:
We'll be there 12/07-13th! Do I have any neighbors????

Cool! :cool1: We'll be at Pop for those dates too!

I saw it mentioned briefly somewhere in another thread but can someone please explain the lime green mickey thing?

The impression I got was that you get the lime green paint card from Home Depot and tape it on your door to identify yourself to other disboarders. Am I right?

You'll want to pick up the paint chip for Alien Green in the Disney paints. What I've done is use two cards to create a laminated tag that I wear on my purse, and I carry it around in the parks. Last year, someone from the boards recognized my LGMHs when we were lining up at security. I'm hoping that this year, I'll get a chance to meet more DISers during my trip.

This is the first I've heard of this...???? Way cool...

Lime green has become the "official" color of the DISboards. Many times DISers wear lime green ribbons, t-shirts, or Mickey Heads so that other DISers can recognize them. The DISers who originated the idea did so to make sure it was an unusal color that would stand out. It's a way to get to meet other DISers!

Here are some links to RumblyTumbly's Photobucket where she's created lime green Mickey Heads for our use as well.

Cool!!! I'm sure we'll run into each other somewhere and won't even realize it! I'll be the one chasing after DD2, giving my DH the evil eye while he is rubbing his hands with glee deciding which ride to go on next with DS8!

I'll keep an eye out! :rotfl: I'll probably be travelling solo, so that may make me easier or harder to spot! ;) I am soooo looking forward to seeing everything decorated for Christmas!

Many of us also wear lime green lanyars with Team Focker Watch on them! I have met many Dissers with these. I hang my JGMH from the lanyard as well as having them on the window of my room!!

I was once told that I was the first 'obvious' DIS board member they had met. Since I was wearing my lime green designer "Slightly Goofy' shirt with the website on the back, my Focker lanyard as well as copious LGM's I guess they were right. :rotfl: I would hate to miss meeting one of you fine folks.

See you in September???:worship:

That's very cool!

For our cruise, we've ordered customized lime green lanyards as well with our "DIS Double Dip Delight" name on them. We have several DIS memeber activities planned. Should be fun!!

I'll let you warm up the Pop for our arrival! I'll be there starting September 20th!

I'll be there with my DH, DS10, DS7, My Mom and My Dad. We are hoping to get into the 50s building. I love being at Disney during the Holidays!

We are gonna POP our tops before we can get to POP. We have requested the 60's builind with Baloo DD loves the Jungle Book.
She is 5 and she wants us all to have matching Tie-Dye shirts for the resort that She and I make. I would like to make some that have an image of Mickey on them any suggestions on how to do that? Novice tie-dyer here. We will probably make different color ones to wear each day at the parks so we are easy to recognize the brighter the better and of course need tie-dyes for the 60's buildings.

Hope going in November we will be able to use the Pool she will be so grumpy if we can't.:cool1:

Hi, I knew of the lime green Mickeys, but I am clueless to the Focker watch...anything to do with Meet the Parents?

mrstomrice, you are correct about the Focker lanyards. A fellow DISer and all around wonderful gal came up with the idea and the lanyards. You know how you see someone, from afar, and think they MIGHT be one of ours? You do the Focker fingers to the eyes thing and see if they do it back, if not you can just run away and not be as embarrassed, although you will leave many folks perplexed but hey, that is their problem.:rotfl: Mickeyfan sold the lanyards at her cost and made no profit but the Boards thought it might set a precedent so they are a collectors item now. I have mine though, that and a big can of corn, but that is a whole other story.

kappman, I love the groups with matching shirts. I often notice them time and time again and start to getting to think I really do know them.

Pikester, there is nowhere like your resort 'home' for the holidays. All the fun and none of the work. :wizard:

Buckeye Gal, with the crowd I am rolling with I hope there IS a POP when we get done. I will do my best though cause us 'nuts' gotta watch out for each other!

englishrose47, don't cha just hate it cause lime green has become popular again and it makes it harder to tell us apart now? I still like my blinking light for when two, or more DISers are within a short distance of each other.

I do have lanyards pm me if interested!I found them to be the most effective way of spotting a disser. I got tired of smiling at everyone in lime green and getting strangs looks!!But my lanyard was a sure thing!! Instant recognition!!
