December 14, 2003 was opening day. I will be there December 14, 2008 so was wondering if there will be a thing since it's 5 year anniversary.

Re: baby and quiet first floor standard room

We requested near classic hall, near parking lot (we drove, and hate to haul luggage very far!), and got a very quiet, first floor room only a few rooms farther from Classic Hall than the preferred were. It was the back side of Lady bldg in the 50s. We loved this location.

We didn't request first floor particularily, but loved it for ease of stroller use.

We would just walk over to the baby pool, which my 16 mo LOVED!

Have a great trip!

Does anyone know if there are storage lockers available at the pool? If so, any details would be nice. Thanks! :)

I don't think there are lockers at the pool. :confused3 Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

If our flight gets in around 12:00 and we get to Pop and our room isn't ready, can Pop hold our carry-ons while we go to a park or do we need to take them with us?

They sure will. I left my carry-on stuff with them at the luggage counter in February. It was kinda funny... I forgot to get something out of my purse that I wanted to put in my backpack to take to the park, so I asked them if I could grab it. He decided it would be easier for me to just go get the item myself, so he escorted DS and I through the doors to where the luggage is held. But as we entered, he called out to announce, "Guest in the back!" like we were entering some secret government facility. It was just funny.

But yes, they will gladly hold your carry-on stuff for you. :)

13 days!!!

Question for thos ewho have ordered a cake before... I called the food court via the cake hotline on 4/28 but no one called me back. I left another message today. Is this normal :confused3 I know I still have just under 2 weeks, but this is the last 'big" thing I need to do before we arrive... Just need some reassurance

If you are going out to eat, you can order a cake at the restaurant you are going to. That is what I am doing for my husband. It is his 31st birthday. You can get a small 6 in cake (generic top) for 13 dollars and I believe you just have to tell them at the check in stand. If want a message on it, you only have to order 24 hours in advance I believe

But the ones you request at the podium are frozen, and probably still will be when you get it :rotfl: This is why I am trying to order one in advance at the Pop food court so it will at least be thawed!!

Construction stopped on that part of POP shortly after 9/11. To this date nothing is moving foward with that project and there is no indication as to what will become of it.
