Has anyone recently had any problems getting water shipped by Costco to POP? Or any problems with the front desk finding your package at check-in?

I ordered 2 cases of water from Staples and Pop refused delivery of 1 of the cases because it was opened. That was OK with me as I got 1 case and the next day the 2nd arrived. I was pleased that they didn't accept the damaged case.

I have also ordered from www.minimus.biz and shipped to Pop and it has always been right at the front desk waiting for me-no problems finding it upon arrival.

I have also shipped a package from home via UPS and it too was found by CM checking me in when I arrived.

I have had very good luck with Pop accepting package deliveries for me.

Sorry to have a good laugh over your serious question, but picking up packages at POP's front desk has been such a fiasco for us...to the point that it's just become a family joke. We eventually get everything, but it may take several attempts. Sometimes we'd get a voice mail that a package was waiting for us to pick up. We'd go down to get it, but no one could find it. When I'd explain that I got a message that the package was here, the CM just looked baffled and didn't know who could have called or where the package was being held. This went on for 3 days! It's never really caused us a problem, but then again - as much as I love POP - I just would not trust them to deliver anything valuable or that I really needed right away. I did ship water once and had no problems. Just the mail and smaller packages that got lost in the shuffle.

Funny you say that. When we were their this past March we got a voicemail saying we had a package. I called and it was our Hoop Dee Doo Tickets, which I had picked up already! LOL! And then we got another call saying our package from the park had arrived and was ready for pick up. I had picked it up the day before. So those voicemails are not up to date at all.

what is the closest room, to the main building by a pool, top floor?

60's, depending on where the room is. Top floor you still need to go back to the middle of the building to take the elevator down, unless yo udo stairs. Some 70's are pretty close too.

So, I just called to see what room requests had been attached to our reservation and they surprisingly told me that there were none (I'd called last week about to make our request). I requested Bldg 3 or 4 lakeside today, but I made a mistake and wanted to change Bldg 3 to Bldg 5. When I called back to try to do so, the girl told me she couldn't do it and just added Bldg 5 on to the request. Have any of you had a similar experience? Can they really not change a request? (We'd rather not be in Bldg 3 and that's the first one on the list now, you know?)

I also thought I'd check with you guys on this, but I requested 3 or 4 based on the info on the first page of this thread regarding the viewing of Illuminations. (We wanted to be in the 60's section in addition to being able to see some of Illuminations.) It says that Bldgs 3 & 4 are in the 60's section, but the map shows that the 60's section is Bldgs 4 & 5. Isn't that right? I'd decided previously that we'd particularly like to be in Bldg 5, but I didn't double check my info before calling...oops!!

I would call back and see what another cm says it doesn't make sense that they could add info but not delte it! Sounds like the cm maybe didnt want to be bothered! I was originally booked preferred but had to downgrade to standard when i booked my other room to insure we were together! And I left my request for 50's ground floor pool view and also added 60's groundfloor poolview and hopefully I will get one of the 2 or something near to them!

LOL I don't think the person meant "extra big" towels, but rather extra "big towels." The bath towels.

We had no problem getting extras on request (just one time) and by the end of our stay they were leaving us piles of extras every day. I don't know why, as it was december and we only swam twice. Maybe it was the $5 left on the sink. Who knows? They were also leaving extra soaps and shampoo, which was awesome. They're so cute!

lol! Yes i meant extra towels I need at least two big towels, one for body and one for hair. Dh only needs one and dd. Usually 2 towel for all threee doesnt work-lol!

When you check in and they give you your room you can always ask for something different! I did the last time. They had me in the 80's as I was originally in on aGG thru these boards and it was cancelled, but Pop didn't have that info. They had no problem assigning me another room in the 50's lakeside like I wanted !! This next time we want poolside in the 60,s.

I don't know what kind of other replies you will get but I always call and tell a resort if I am arriving late. They may not give a hoot but it makes me feel better knowing that I called and spoke to someone.

I would also notify any hotel of a late arrival. If you arriving via DME they should already be aware of your arrival time but I would call just to be sure.

When I was there in January it was $2.99. I think I will still be there when you get there so I can't let you know.
