This morning, I read on All Ears, news that could see one of our premier posters Bama Ed coming out of retirement and seeking not only new employment but a major upgrade in status.
According to AE The DAPPERDANS are currently accepting Applications. Those accepted will come be hired on a Probationary basis. The article states that this MAY result in an offer to a more permanent position.
We can all wish Ed the very best as dust off the frame containing his Honorary Membership Card and practices as he speeds down to Main Street USA.

Mike, I can tell the story now.

Their people came to my people and asked me to step into the role in a "silent" transition. But I had to decline.

I am enjoying retirement too much to get back into a paying gig on a schedule. The land of no alarm clocks certainly has an allure. But i will sing with the Dans again in the future at a time of my choosing.

Since I privately declined, they are going public now to fill the ranks. Good luck to my brothers in harmony.
