So you take your luggage outside? What if it is raining? Is the opposite side of the bus stops to the parks?

There is a covered area outside the entrance doors, just to the right as you enter- that is Luggage Assistance. You just hand your stuff to the CM behind the counter, and they give you a claim tag to bring back when you collect it later. Really easy!

Firstly, I love these boards! Since I havne't been to WDW since Grad Nite '95, I realize that lots have changed since then! I can't wait to introduce DD (10) to Mickey.
Anyway, this is our family's first stay ON property--April 7 - 11) , and I can't wait to see POP. We are planning to save some $$$ by eating/snacking in our rooms, so I have a strange question--what type of condiments does the food court have available? For instance, jelly for toast? Honey for tea? Ranch dressing for chicken strips (purchased at POP)? My DH is picky in how he eats and needs to know if he needs to bring with us or not.

Thanks so much for all the info! Only about 6 weeks til we go!!!
I saw jelly, not sure about the others!!

this is a great thread u guys got going, but this first time we are stay at pop, just hope it is as nice has u guys say

I suggest that if you are unsure of what to write or if your fax will be received for requests to contact POP directly...that is what I did and I got what was requested...the phone number is (407) 938-4000...

All ears highly suggest you do NOT call the hotel. It says that alot of times the requests will not make it to the room assigner.
If you want to read up what they suggest go to all ears and then click accomdations. On that page to the left of the page it has a list and click o nthe faxing hotel one. About the middle of that article it starts saying the does and don't of faxing.

I guess we were one of the lucky ones then...I actually called the resort and not the reservation line...maybe next year I will do both just to be on the safe side...

Does Anyone know if there is any rehabs for the Pop century for April. I heard construction was going on. Wondering if anyone knows anything

:)

Can you tell me if POP has movies by the pool or games like AS Music does? We were there last summer and the games and movies were great. Really gave AS Music a fun/festive atmosphere.

We are headed back to Pop in July and I remember seeing frozen birthday cakes in the drink cooler cases. Does anyone have a picture of these, remember exactly what they look like, or ever bought one?
I saw them and I think they were something like $12.95. I think they had a Mickey on the top. I didn't buy one so I don't know how it tasted.

You might get wet going there from your room but it is covered and the covering extends over the drive that the ME bus uses so you can stay dry waiting for the bus.

I haven't seen at Pop what I've read about at ASMu but when I was at Pop in Jan with my DS they did have a free sand art project for the kids near the Hippidy Dippidy Pool. I think they might of had other games too but I don't think they do the movies.

When we were there the first week of February and our room was right across from the giant big wheel. They had several big wheels out and the cast members were asking the children if they would like to ride. I'm not sure if they were playing a game or just riding for fun but the kids looked like they were having a ball. That was on our checkin day around 3:00. I didn't see it any other time but I was never back at POP at that time again.

ETA~I did see a game of Twister going on as well.

Thank you for the replies...I knew it was a pilot program, but I had hoped that all the values had offered it by now. We really enjoyed coming back from the parks early to swim and watch movies in the pool and unwind.

I love Pop Century! Our family did stay this hotel last Year and This Year our family are staying in the Pop Century again!

Here is a sample of the one I faxed today. I will let you know if it worked after I get back next week.

Attention Room Assigner

Hello from Ohio! Brrrr!

I would just like re-confirm our reservation and see if you could possibly accommodate our room requests.
Our Reservation number is ________. We are booked for March 2 -7. There are 3 of us, ________, __________, and ___________ (3 years old). We would really appreciate if we can get first floor (because we have a stroller and hate elevators), 60’s section (because Claire loves the Jungle book), and poolside ( because we hope to be near the baby pool.).

If you have any questions my home phone is ___________. My cell is ________.
Our home address is

Thanks you for your time and consideration. We are excited to be seeing you all soon!

When I listed our names I put DH first as the reservation has his name listed first for everything.

Thank you Jensib. That looks perfect! I have another question for you. We booked a preferred room since we will rent a stroller from the park. Is the 70's Big Wheel building close to everything. Or would I be better off with 60's or 50's. We don't really want to be next to the pool because it might be too noisy. I did request 4th floor but that's all so far.
Thanks again and have a great trip!!!

I checked http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/rehab.htm, and don't seen anything listed. Is it possible that what you heard was related to the unfinished Legendary Years portion of the resort? :confused3 Construction on that was abandoned shortly after 9.11.2001, and it's unknown when/if they'll resume.

jenseib: There is a thread on here called the BBB FAQ thread w/ pictures, and I have found it incredibly helpful. Several people have said that even with an appointment they have had to wait. Check out the thread, the pictures are adorable too!

I've been in non prefered rooms in the 50's, 60's and 70's. I found the 60's to be the most convenient location but I was on the backside. The 70's was my least favorite but I know a lot of folks really love the 70's.

Thanks. I just thought my DS would like the giant big wheel. Although he loves Jungle book and Play Doh too.

This is an awesome thread!! It's making me so excited for our upcoming trip to POP in April.

We stayed right behind the Big wheel. It was an easy walk to the main building and the busses. Not like my stay at AS Music..Ugh i felt like i was back at the parks!!!
when you check in, let them know that you have a preferred room request...they gave us 2 or 3 options on where we wanted to stay! Very helpful
