We will be staying at Pop for three nights before heading over to the Poly for the rest of our stay and I was wondering what the best way to get over to the Poly would be? If you take a bus to the MK, does it stop at the TTC? How long does it take to bus over to the MK?

Also, I'm looking for a quieter place to stay at Pop. Anyone have any good buildings that are not too far away from pools/food that are a little off the beaten path?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Woooo Hooo! I just booked 6 nights at POP!!!! :cool1: :cool1:
this is my first stay at a value - I hope its not too crowded.

I am a little concerned tho - the CM on the phone said "Wow Im surprised you Dont want to stay at All Star Movies!" Can all you Poppers convince me that Pop is superior?

11-24 through 11-30 :cutie:

I would take the bus to MK and take the boat or resort monorail to Poly from there. The boat stops at GF first but it is a really nice ride. The monorail will stop at CR, TTC then Poly. The monorail brings you right to the Grand Ceremonial House where the check in desk is. That might be the easiest if you haven't been to the Poly before.

If you take the bus to Epcot and the monorail to TTC you would have to find the path the to Poly from there or take the resort monorail.

Disney will move your bags for you.

thanks lovesdumbo! Sounds like we'll bus to MK then. Or maybe I'll consider calling a taxi if it's not too much $$$!

POP is so much better. Music, Movies and Sports are so close together and you all share the busses. Very crowded at times! POP is a lot newer also.

King room help. I would like to make a request for a king room near the main building. Any suggestions?

Well it looks like POP is it for us :cool1: April 25th-28th, 2009 at POP and then April 28th-May 2nd at CSR. Our first/only/honeymoon trip to WDW we stayed at AKL, so this will be a switch, but hopefully a good one!! I'm really looking forward to it!!!

I will be there tomorrow!:yay:  :cool1:
Ok, another questions about refillable mugs. Do they have a lid on them, or come with a straw, or if they have a lid, is there a spot for a straw

Yes they come with a lid. They have a hole for a straw, they also sell straws other than the regular ones .I think they are under a $1!!

We are having a bit of a disagreement on the Cake thread. There seem to be some conflicting information about the cakes available at Pop century. I'm looking for chocolate strawberries to be delivered to our room when we stay in May. There are some who believe GF will deliver a cake to Pop century, but i've already called GF and had that idea dismissed many times. I've left a voicemail for the chef at POP via the Cake Hotline, and am just waiting to hear back, but if anyone of you might have pictures of cakes you had a Pop, either from the food court, or delivered to your room, that would be great!

Thanks!

jennifer

I have taken a taxi from GF and CR to Pop and both times it was just under $20 before the tip.

I read on here before about the air condition. How to get it to stay running. I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, if so can you lead me in the right direction?

Thanks

i just ordered a cake last week...spoke with someone from the POP food kitchen (the front desk transfered me). he told me i could pick up a cake at the bakery at the food court but my only choice was vanilla with vanilla frosting (and pic of mickey on it). i asked about chocolate w/ choc frosting and he said that he could do that too but i would have to order it with a credit card. i believe he said the order would go thru GF bakery. they will write happy birthday noah (ds) on it and i can pick it up at the POP bakery when we check in. he also told me to ask for the head chef when i get there. it is $12.50. he took down the order and info from me and said i'd be all set. i didn't ask about room delivery but he didnt ask if i wanted it (i need it the day we check in).

i would call POP directly and ask to speak to someone at the POP food court bakery.:bday:

hope this helps...

You're correct. There used to be instructions on how to manipulate the theromostat to stay on, however, someone had come back and said that the thermostats were not the same as they apparently were at one point in time(meaning the buttons referenced were not on the unit). I posted a message if others had also encountered this, and it seemed to be true for all the rooms, not just a selelct few, so we on the thread decided to have the directions removed from Post #1.

The trick you could use is to get a mylar balloon for the room, and that movement will keep the thermostat on. ;)

I am soooo confused! I am changing our ressie from the Poly because we had some things change recently and will not be able to afford it until next year. We WERE going to book CSR, now I am starting to like POP as much as I would rather stay somewhere with a TS restaurant available. EEK!!! The bus situation seems much more manageable at POP.
