When we stay at Pop, our "rule" is to always be at the bus stop 1 hour before the park opens. This gives us a little wiggle room in case we have to wait for a bus (we've usually been able to get on a bus within 5 minutes of arriving at the bus stop). We've always been at the parks about 30 minutes prior to opening using this plan. It gives us plenty of time to get through the bag check and turnstiles. We're almost always just a few people back from the actual rope. Since MK is the longest ride from Pop, we sometimes try to be at the bus stop a little more than an hour before park opening.

Thanks, bluezy. :goodvibes This makes sense. I like to have a guideline, and this works well.

Okay, silly question - I'm sorry if I missed this in the pounds of pages. I tried to skim, and I couldn't find it, but it's probably already been asked!

What kinds of detergent are for sale in the little detergent vending machine at Pop? I have an allergy to some sort of common detergent ingredient - we're not sure what the ingredient is, so we don't know exactly which types of detergent I can and cannot use, but we do know through trial and error that I can use "Gain" and "Era". We're considering just bringing our own detergent if this turns out to be an issue, but we aren't exactly planning on washing anything - it would just be nice to know that we can if we need to. And if not in the vending machine, does anyone know if either of these brands are available at Everything Pop?

Thank you!

I don't recall seeing this at Everything Pop, but the last time we were there it was pretty much Tide or Cheer in the vending machines. This could have changed but I would just bring my own if driving. Hope that helps.

I still have yet to use the washers at Pop Century, but each time I have packed my own detergent -- just because I don't want to have to buy it if I decide to wash something.

I got a sample pack of All at Sam's Club and then a sample pack of Tide in the mail. Those are what I have been bringing.

We plan on bringing the Purex laundry sheets (not sure if this is available in the US or just Canada). They are laundry detergent in a sheet and then stick them in the dryer with your laundry for a dryer sheet. I figure this will be the most convenient thing for laundry since we won't have to deal with any sort of liquid or powder, just a little square thing about the size of a normal dryer sheet. There are 6 of us and we will be there for 11 days, so I know I will have to do laundry. I don't want to lug enough clothing (not that we would have that many changes of clothes) for 6 people for 11 days on a plane!

If I were you, I would bring my own - you don't want to have an allergic reaction while on vacation and you never know exactly what might be available.

I agree bring enuff for a couple of loads in a smaller container or if you use powder in a baggie !! Also bring fabric sheets !! I am a good one to remind you as it is something I always forget!!:rotfl2:

Had a wonderful stay, and a wonderful housekeeper, at Pop last week. We looked forward to what our housekeeper would do with Figment each day. A few pics:

Figment, well, you know. (And no, we did not use the towels. lol)

Pop remains our favorite value resort!

Thanks for sharing the figment pictures. Very cute. POP is the only resort that we have stayed at that we get towel animals. Not everyday but we had 2 on our last trip. The trip before that I think we had 5 or 6. I don't expect them but my girls love it.

Cute Figment photos!

We're still leaning toward staying at Pop next year, and this thread is getting me excited. :goodvibes

Love those Figment photos! Just another reason why Pop ROCKS!!!! DD got her first towel animal there in 2009- CBR & AKL never gave us any. Towel animals and cute arrangement of stuffed animals don't make or break a trip- but they are a huge thrill for the kids to find.

My family and I are heading back to Pop next Wednesday!:banana: We will be travelling with 3 kids, ages 8,7 and 4 and there are beside themselves. It's been 2 years since they have been. We didn't make any special requests and will just take whatever they give us. We'll just be happy to be back at our happy place! :yay::yay:

We'll be checking in to POP next Wednesday too!

Why don't they create a figment movie? He has such a huge fan base you would think they would do that!:thumbsup2
