This morning I learned the very sad news that one of our POP friends and her husband were victims of the Joplin, MO tornadoes yesterday. Lorie was a long time DISer and wonderful friend of GKTW. She and her husband had just returned from a WDW anniversary trip on May 21st. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayer are with their family.

I learned this via Pete Werner's Facebook posting. When I looked up Lorie's signature I knew her immediately from this Groovier thread. It also struck me how she had just returned from AKV a couple of days ago. This is very upsetting.

Even though I don't know her it's sad to hear about her loss and the other 88 people who were lost also.

Oh wow, how horrible My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Looks like on the DISUnplugged forum she escaped a Tornado back in 2009, so so sad that she was lost in this one. We still haven't gotten over the tornado that went through our little town just last month, these storms are just so deadly that it touches everyone in some way.

She posted quite a bit over on the Passporter boards and it's so sad to see her signature Her and her dogs and her countdown tickers. She just returned from her 15 year anniversary celebration at the AKLV. She had a half marathon planned in 7 months and a trip to the Tokyo Disney in a year.....she was a very busy woman it seems.

Rest in Peace Glenn and Lorie Holland.

Just read over at the Passporter Boards that they are having a Memorial Meet there on June 3rd at Epcot. It looks like people will be meeting in Italy at 8:30 to have a drink before there memory before Illuminations.

I just called disney reservations. When I made my reservation I forgot to put in my request. I called and she told me she couldn't add what I didn't pay for. First she was kind of rude I have never had a rude cm before. She told me all of the 60's section is prefered and couldn't add that since I didn't pay for prefered. . Um ok that is news to me. So I guess I should call back or did something change?
