Hi all

We are going to Pop 12/4 and i am needing to send ahead some regular shelf stable soy milk ( all I have seen/read is that soy milk is available but only in vanilla and choc). I looked at post #1 and saw how to send it, but have a silly ? about the address label.

Should it be

Pop Century, Classic Years, Guest xxx xxxx 12/4/10

or do I not need to include Pop Century? I got a little confused :confused3

Also, should I call or notify them that I am sending something?

Thanks!

This is what the FAQ has listed:

cold Gold Peak tea (black (aka regular) sweetened, black unsweetened, green sweetened, and white citrus)

Has anyone tried the white citrus? I don't really drink a whole lot of sodas myself, and we have refillable mugs with our package!

I did. It was good. I also mixed the unsweetened and the white citrus. :thumbsup2

No need to notify. Just write on box:

Pop Century, Classic Years
Address

Hold for Guest: _______ Check-in date:_______

I send about 5-6 days in advance.

Still waiting on 50's building 2 refurb room reports to know if the renovations are done or getting close to done. That's the last building in the refurb.

Here now, they're still doing work on the 50's buildings, but not sure how far along they are! We're in a 50's bldg and our room had already been done.

At the pool bar place what forms of payment are accepted? Can you charge to your room? Can you use a gift card? Thanks so much.

I'm 99% per sure that you can use your room key, CC, or gift card. I would still have some $1's for tips.

Just thought I would share that my son (15) is a avid fisherman and the first question he asked when we announced our trip was could he bring along a fishing pole and where could he fish?
We thought it would be a complicated trip to visit Fort Wilderness with maybe a little fishing at the POP lake. Well he was so very excited when we got to POP and he saw all the fish in the lake, he fished every day and caught too many fish to count. This was the highlight of the trip for him and I am wondering why I even got him a park ticket:lmao:

So if you like to fish then pack a pole if your staying at POP!

Wish I were there too! Do you know what building your room is in?

You can definitely use a credit card or charge it to your room, you can write in the tip on the check if you want or leave a few dollars, whatever you're more comfortable with. Not sure about a gift card though, sorry.

We're going to Pop for the first time in September. We are excited. I don't have time to read through all 50+ pages. So, here's a few questions.

Is all of 1970's preferred? We are doing 2 standard rooms (we want connecting ones) and a lakeside view.

We just arrived a few hours ago. I never added requests to my ressie over the phone, but I did fax a few in 5 days ago. All were met. Yay! We're in building 3 (50s section), lakeside. I have a perfect view of the Epcot ball from my window. (It's just a little further away than it was from the Beach Club.) Will try and scope out the refurbish status on bldg 1 tomorrow. (That was the last one in question, right? Or was it bldg 2?)

No, sections pointing toward Classic Hall in 70's, 60's and 50's are preferred and others are standard. There is a link to a preferred room map in post#1 of this thread. But if you want lake view in 70's, there are standard rooms in the 70's pointing that way.

Building 2 50's status is the main question for refurbs. As for building 1, one clue to if building 1 is complete (it must be at this point) may be if the ground floor room doors are painted the same lavender as the outside walls. It seemed to me that the pre-refurb color scheme in the 50's had white doors on the ground floor. Building 3 ground floor rooms now have doors matching the walls.

I'm heading to Pop Century in a few weeks and am thinking of bringing a small ice chest. Do the ice machines stay pretty full? If not, do they sell bagged ice at the resort? I want to have a few bottles of water and soft drinks on ice in my room and probably bring some sandwich fixings to cut down on spending.

I just answered your other thread about Pop versus the All Stars. Glad to see you went with Pop; I prefer it myself.

Fyi, no lakeview rooms are preferred. I think they're one of the best deals in Disney. I suspect that when the resort on the other side of the lake is completed, they may make
"lakeview" another room category at Pop and charge for it.

Already answered but no all 70's is not preferred , be aware that connecting rooms are harder to fill in the section you request ( any section not just the 70's) Now the girls are teenagers we will request adjoining rooms which should make the location easier to fill !!

I believe it is Bldg 2 as last month we were in Bldg 1 and it was a Refurb !!!

I don't think you will have any problem with ice , I've seen lots of coolers being filled !!!
