Totally off topic, but I wanted to say that I hope everything works out for your family and that your husband stays safe. Thank you.

Thank you

It isn't always an easy life, but it is rewarding in so many non-tangible ways, and after almost 20 years, I have gotten used to realizing that plans change, crap happens, and you just keep on going :)

Just please keep fingers crossed for me that he doesn't deploy and we aren't PCSing (moving to a new duty station) to spoil the trip--this is a birthday present for our little one who will turn 9 while we are there and *really* wants to have breakfast with Mary Poppins! It is also a present for our older girl who's birthday is the week before we go.

So. . .I was at POP for Dec. Then POFQ. Then POP. Then POFQ.

Back at POP.

And ya know what? I am so freaking excited!

I'm in a preferred room, but requested top floor, courtyard view. I sure hopw I get my requests--especially top floor--I don't like people walking over my head.

Just returned yesterday from 8 days at Pop! It was my first time there and we really liked it. I didn't send any requests as far as my room went, and looking back maybe I should have. We were in the 80's section in room 7435, and it was quiet..it was a little bit of a walk but we didn't think it was that bad until we had 3 tired kids after doing the parks all day and then we realized how far it was! LOL I should have asked for another room but we didn't.

One night we got home late from the parks and our AC wasn't on so we called the front desk, they told us to wait 10 minutes because they have motion sensor. Well I knew it wasn't that because the display wasn't even on. We waited and then called again and they sent someone up, and then they had to replace the whole motor it took about a half hour. They were really nice about it and it wasn't anyone's fault. Just hard with 3 tired kids.

If you have any questions I would be happy to answer!

Now I have to deal with Disney withdrawals :(

I am glad you enjoyed your first stay at POP. :) Would you stay there again?
And I understand about the post-Disney symptoms. We were there in Aug and I still have them...:sad2:

Oh yeah I would definitely stay there again! I really like the whole atmosphere. I didn't think the rooms were that small, I mean it is a hotel so...plus we were hardly in our room. The only thing I would do next time is maybe ask for a room closer to the transportation.

I keep trying to think of when we can go back! Unfortunately it probably won't be for 2 years :(

OMG I am so excited :woohoo: !! All packed...bags at the front door. Our flight is for 10:20am and I have no idea how I will sleep tonight. I never get tired of going to Disney, in fact I think each trip is more exciting. First stay at Pop and I hope I like it. I hope we get the requests (connecting room, first floor, 60's, hopefully Hippy Dippy pool side) but life will go on fine if not all those are met. Thank you all for the advice over the past few months and I will write when I return next week.

No, there is not. The best you can do if you have a smartphone is have your email attached to your cell phone.

The soaps have Mickey on them and the shampoo is in a container with Mickey on it.

You can get internet access at Pop but you have to pay. I think it was 9.95 for 24 hours or something. HTH!

You can go to one of the convention hotels, they have business centers where you can use the internet for a fee. I remember it being pricey, geared for the convention crowd, but my daughter was going mad without facebook :confused3. This year that daughter has chosen to stay home:rotfl:

On what floor was your room in building 1?

I can confirm what someone already mentioned, that Internet access at Pop is $9.95 for 24 hours.

Pop gives you H2O Plus manufactured shampoo with conditioner, face soap, and bath soap. Mickey's face on is on all three items. I like to come home with a big supply.

I am thinking of changing our reservation from CBR to Pop. I would really like to stay in the 80s section. What is the best building in this section?

Pop looks like lots of fun. Can't wait !!!

Yes, you have to hook up with a cable (no wireless) and it is 9.95 for 24 hours.

Also the shampoo is pretty much crap, so if you are picky, bring your own.

How is the hair dryer in the room? Should I just squeeze my huge personal one into my luggage or just use the one in the room?

There's only stand up showers at Pop, correct? No connecting tub - if so, that should be fun with my dd who is afraid of the shower LOL

As many people have said, there is internet access available for $9.95 per day, but it won't do you any good since you won't have a laptop with you.

There are computers with internet access available at the business centers. You can see a brochure with locations and prices here.

They're pretty awful. I tried to use it one day and I was not impressed. Fortunately I didn't need it for styling purposes, I was just hoping to dry my hair a little faster. I decided that it was just easier to leave with wet hair.

There are bathtubs.
