Thanks. I'm looking forward to going into the pool too - but I'm already afraid of getting out into the cold evening air!!! We'll be there the last week of February too! February 26-March 7.

We'll be there almost the same time... Feb 27- Mar 6! I can't wait! My nephews' first visit! I'm thinking the weather will be similar to Nov/early Dec, when I have visited the last few years.

Thanks for pointing out the difference between adjoining and connecting. To me its the same, adjoining is just the word that comes out of my mouth first, but if I don't say "connecting" that is not what I might get. I'll ask for connecting.

Now... I only have 2 ADR's and we have decided to add more. I'm going to focus on resort restaurants instead of inside the park, except on our EPCOT days. Hopefully, we'll get what we want. Dare I even THINK of Le Cellier?

Oh, I definitely vote for Le Cellier!!! You never know, if someone cancels a reservation, you might be able to get in. I would suggest, should you not be able to get a ressie, show up at opening time and you may get lucky. I think it opens at 11:30. Correct me if I am wrong. :upsidedow

Quick Hello! I just booked Pop Century for April 29 through May 1. All of the All Stars are booked that weekend, I was lucky to get a value room! We are heading down for Cheerleading Worlds that weekend, then driving back with my oldest daughter who is going to college in Orlando.

When I checked the dates I was surprised to see how my two worlds collide, youngest D is an all-star cheerleader (although she won't be competing in Worlds) and oldest D will be finishing up finals. So ... if will be fun to be able to attend the "super bowl of cheerleading" that weekend at the Milk House at Wide World of Sports.

SO... just a heads up if you want to stay away from cheerleaders, WDW will be swaming with cheerleaders from around the world that weekend!

I was able to get Le Cellier for lunch on the day I wanted. I notice lunch was open most days the end of Feb., first of March, but no Dinners for two people. So if you have not called yet it is worth a try.

I haven't had time to call yet. But I will ask. Maybe we'll try for lunch. I am trying to strike a balance between a rigidly planned commando style day that my ex-air force BIL prefers and a more relaxed spontaneous minimal scheduling that my DH prefers.

The cubbies in the refurbed dresser are about 14 inches wide. I have cubicals that are just under 12x12 and there was about 2 inches extra width, but the bottom cubby was barely taller than my cubical and the other cubbies were shorter so my cubical didn't fit. The bottom left cubby is 12 inches tall, the one above it is about 7, the two others maybe about 6. You might want to have a small tray for the shorter cubbies. I stuck things directly into the cubbies and then something got pushed way back where it was too dark to see, and then we spent lots of wasted time looking for it. A tray will allow you to pull out and see what you've stuffed in there, or use a shallow basket or box.

Mindy5767,

Do you know how deep the dresser is? I was thinking the standard dresser is 18", but was checking. Thanks for the information.

This Jan will be our first stay at POP. We stayed at POR in 2008 and we are very excited about this resort! Our girls pretty much picked it out since it looked so fun!

We are checking in on 1/9 and leaving on 1/15. For first timers, which building/decade would be the best to stay in? I didn't know that you could make such a request and I will be passing this along to the TA!

Don't know if we'll plan on swimming or not...may bring suits just in case (though I'm hoping for a cold snap!)...:)

TIA!

You really can't go wrong with any of the areas...it really comes down to preference. I like the 50's because of the bowling pin pool, and requesting either building 1 or 3 puts you closer to Classic Hall. But in general all the buildings provide their convenience -- there's no real bad location. One thing I like to request is a ground floor because I think it's easier to get a stroller/kids in and out of the room.

Yeah , it really is preference. I like the 70's just because it brings back childhood memories. The 70's is the only decade that doesn't have its own pool, but its around the corner from both the 90's pool and the Hippy Dippy Pool. I found that the elevators tended to come right when I hit the button, so staying on the 2nd floor was no big deal. I had previously been a 1st floor requester. Now I don't care at Pop. I still like the first floor at Saratoga because the grounds are like having a yard, but the pop has rooms on the front and back so that doesn't apply.

I'm going to be at POP for one day, arrival. Place looked really cool and my DH wants to experience it. So, we are staying for one day before moving on to AKL. (Disneymoon so we are going to live it up deluxe! lol)

The arrival day is just a resort day and maybe visiting DTD. That all being said, what are must sees and dos? Traveling party is me, DH, DD/17 and DS/2.

Thanks!

Can some one please tell me where the King size bed are at? I am hoping there is one in the 50's building #1 or #3
thanks

King rooms are located throughout the resort in all bldgs, some are regular rooms and some are HC rooms. I know bldg 1 and 3 have both types.:thumbsup2

Just got back from a 2 night stay at POP - we arrived later on Saturday night with a very short wait at check in. I had called in my room request but forgot to follow up with a fax, so, none of my requests were met; but we ended up in building 8, room 8141 on the first floor - nice refurbed room, except NOW my DH decides he wants a king sized bed; at this point it was late and they didn't have any available. But - all good, quiet room, not too far from buses and food court. We only had one full day at MK, weather was perfect, mid 80's and NO HUMIDITY! MK closed at 7 for MNSSHP and we loved watching the kids and adults in costumes coming to the park. Wished we had another day, but we'll take what we can get. POP is still a great value resort. Even grumpy DH had no complaints!

Is there a kiddie pool at POP?

Yes, behind the Hippy Dippy Pool there is a small pool.

Also by the 70's buildings they have an area with water jets, it is called "Goofy's water jets", as Goofy is standing next to a corvette.
Very cute area for the kids to play in the water.
