When you buy a meal in the foodcourt can you get a free cup of water or do you need to buy bottled? I don't usually drink soda and I don't like fountain ice tea, so I was hoping to just get some ice water, but bottled is so expensive.

Yes, you can get a free cup of water almost anywhere on Disney property. I always ask for a cup of water at counter service restaurants.

Last year I saved tons of $$$ by asking for free water with ice in my disney refillable mug (can't get free soda refill's at the parks but they will fill it with water and ice) Sometimes you don't want to drink soda all day anyway and bottled water is too expensive. We stayed hydrated all day for free!:mickeyjum

We just booked a last minute (surprise :ssst:) trip over Labor Day. Its our first time back to Pop in a couple of years and I can't wait to see the refurbed rooms! (We requested building 10, those rooms were already completed, right?)

Question about the food court pizza: does anyone know if the TiW discount applies to that as well? (I would actually go and get it, not have it delivered to the room, if that matters)

As a back up, has anyone ordered Papa Johns, Dominoes etc and had it delivered to Pop? Just checking to see who delivers there...

Thanks! :flower3:

From the reports on this thread and the Pop refurb thread, it looks like the work is active on the 50s buildings with some more work to do in the 60s. Sounding like building 10 is complete - no one has reported not getting a refurbed room in building 10.

Thanks! We are booked in a preferred room so I guess they put us where they put us anyway.

Hopefully someone else will know the answer to my pizza questions :flower3:

 Just got back from the TA with our Mouse Mail. We got a surprize with the packet. The TA gave us a photo album with the packet, she said that since we booked when we did we got the album..Nice surprize to put POP pictures in. 28 days and counting.:cool1:

I've been watching the refurbishment reports for months, and I think if one wants a new room, their best bet would be to request a room in the 70s, 80s or 90s. I believe those are completely redone.

It sounds like much of Building 5 (60s) has also been completed. I haven't seen a word about Building 4 (the other 60s building) and if they've done anything in the 50s, it isn't much. I saw something that Building 3 was started, but that's it.

As far as pizza goes, IMHO, if you're going to get pizza from Dominos or Papa John's, you may as well order it from Everything Pop.

I so want Mickey mail also. Hopefully in a week or so I will get something.

Question about parking (I apologize if this is on the 1st page, I didn't see it)... my parents want to come visit us at the Pop... is there any problem with them parking in the lot even though they are not staying there?

There shouldn't be any problem. If they're going to be with you a lot and you don't have a car, ask for a parking pass. I'm quite certain you're allowed one car per room.

I stayed in the 70's and had a brand new refurb room, The new rooms are very nice with new carpet, New Wall paper and that border is one at the top( so 1990's) Also features a HD TV and has about 6 HD channels on the WDW CCTV system. This was my second stay at POP and it will not be my last. POP is the best value resort at WDW so if you have not stayed there give it a try.

Oooo I forgot about Mickey mail. I should be getting some in the next few weeks. :cool1:

I didn't see a response to my question earlier...but I might have missed it, this thread moves quick!! :)

Is it safe to say that the refurbs will be done by December? I'm paranoid now that I should ask for a specific building...but it's 4 months away so I'm not sure if they will ALL be done by then? Does anyone know?

They will be done they are mostly done now :) they have some of the 50s and a 60s building left

Oh that is great news, thank you for responding!

Now I just need to contemplate if it's worth making any special requests for rooms. We'll have a 3 year old and 1 year old and a double stroller. We're not worried about walking too far, since what's an extra few feet after walking around WDW all day. :rotfl2:

Hi guys,

I asked this in the dining forum but no responses. Does anyone know if the food court still has the reuben flatbreads? There's conflicting info between the different online menus. I need to prepare myself if it's gone.
