Just made my payment for our first trip to Pop and so excited!
We are totally undecided about where we want to stay (everyone wants a different spot). My DH suggested we just wing it and see what we get. (or maybe he wants me to quit asking him what he thinks?) Has anyone just not made a request? I'm thinking no matter what we request we may not get it anyway because we are a late (11 p.m.) arrival.

We have paid for a preferred room for our stay at Pop, but other than that won't be making any request. We have never requested a particular area at any resort. Have always left it to fate and have never been disappointed! :goodvibes

Do you have a package deal? Did you not get the package booklet that has the coupons for the arcade, mini-golf, etc? Disney should have mailed this to your TA and then your TA mails it to you. Your Disney reservation # would be on that and that is the number you use for online check-in.

Ask your TA to give you the Disney reservation #. That is what you need for online check-in. I used Dreams Unlimited and I was able to do online check-in with no issues.

I booked our package reservation with Disney over the phone, (fd package) and I didn't get any paperwork other than an e-mail confirmation. Was I supposed to get the coupons in the mail?

If you booked a reservation. You will get vouchers and ME tags in the mail. They will be in seperate enevelopes. You will get these around 30 days out or so.

We didn't have a request last time and we got room 0125 which we really liked. First floor, 70's building 10! Facing some trees and a circle. It was partially rehabbed at the time (April). The bathroom was done, but not the furniture. We didn't have a request the first time we ever stayed at Pop and we got the 90s... it was ok... but 90's isn't "fun"! :rotfl:I have a friend who requests a particular villa at Saratoga by room number and she usually gets it. We're arriving on a Wednesday in later afternoon-early evening, so WHO knows if we'll get our request for 70's, first floor building 10.---there's a trend here!:rotfl:

 Have not seen one of those, Rosie...where would you hang it at POP and how many in a room would work?

You'd hang it on the closet pole in the bathroom area. I'd only use 1 or 2 in a room. You want to be able to hang individual clothing items on the pole.. at least I do.

Less than 24 hours!! :yay:

Thanks for the info! We are still a few months out, so too early to get any care packages from Disney, I guess. So excited!!

Hitting self on forehead!! Why didn't I think of that!! I just bought 2 regular cubes for DD8's tiny clothes. What a great idea!! That would have been even better and they're on sale all over town because this is the back to school tax free weekend in Virginia. Do I have time to run out again and shop... less than 24 hours to go!:hyper:

hanging cubbies on sale in Target $ bins right now. Sweater size is only $2.50 & shoe size (good for bathroom supplies) are only $1.

So you think maybe they changed the form? :confused3 I don't care for the 80's or 90's..... just not the decades that I want to reminisce about! :hippie: I'm a 70's gal!

They must have. I do really remember seeing a space before because I made a note for the 80's that trip. Hmmm.. I think I may have done online checkin three times actually.

I was just cleaning out my bag from our visit and our checkin folder has a sticker on it with my name and "CHECK REQUESTS" at the bottom. At least they're supposed to look at them before picking your room? I've never noticed this on any of our other folders. Good luck with the 70's!

Do I need to let the resort know in advance that we will be checking in late the night of our arrival (between 10:30pm - 11:00pm)? Didn't know if they would give our room away (we paid for a preferred room) after a certain time.

If you do online check in you specify roughly when you'll be checking in. If you want you can call Disney and put a note saying you're checking in late. But really checking in late isn't an issue they should still have you room. Any hotel Ive stayed at has kept a room til Midnight for me.

Wow, just over a month until we fly to Disney. It felt like such a long way out for such a long time, but now is early packing time.

We don't have a daily plan, just a dinner plan.
Le Cellier, Sep 11th
Tony's Town Square, Sep 12th
Planet Hollywood, Sep 13th
Coral Reef, Sep 14th
Raglan Road, Sep 15th
Rose & Crown, Sep 18th
50's Prime Time, Sep 19th
Liberty Tree, Sep 20th
We have 2 days open, the 16th and 17th, we are not sure might try something new.

Liberty Tree is always our last night, with fireworks after.

Hello!

Does anyone know if Everything Pop has milk near the soda fountain? Not little containers of milk, but help your self milk you can put in your refillable mug?

Thanks!

hi all! We are staying at Pop for the first time in February, and are trying to decide where to request....

right now I am leaning towards 70s preferred and asking for the ground floor- we have two little ones (5 and 2) and it would be nice to be close to the main building, and not worry about going up stairs or to the elevator to get to the room.

How is the 70s preferred sections?

How do you like ground floor rooms?

would that be too much of a request?

Thanks for the help!!!

If you payed for a preferred room I would just aks for 70's section ground floor. I have requested 60's lakeview this trip.

60s lakeview is our other option if we decide its silly to pay the $118 difference for preferred.................... then we wouldnt want the ground floor lol

hmmmmmmm

The 70's section by the Big Wheel would be perfect for you. It is quiet and the Goofy water jets play area is there, very cool for the little ones. It is also very close to Classic Hall.

Have fun!

If paying for preferred would not need to request that, but only the following - nice easy requests!

70's
First Floor

First floor is a very popular request - we don't like it because the only time we've had had bugs at any Disney resort was a ground floor room - once at the Polynesian Resort and twice at CBR. We prefer 4th floor at POP as we find it quieter. :thumbsup2

Have a great trip and happy planning!! :goodvibes

Guess who's going to Target tomorrow :yay: Love this idea...saw it mentioned on another thread last year but ignored it We stayed at CSR last year and needed the extra space SO BAD....won't ignore this year :thumbsup2

Never thought of the bug issue! Re-thinking for higher floor as I just hate Florida bugs! Flying Cockroaches YUK!:scared1: I love the idea of being pool side ground floor though...quick access to our room makes it feel like a cabbana! :cool2:
