You will love it! We went this past Dec. and it was so cool. POP has the best tree and wreath as far as I am concerned. I like big bold lights and it sure passes the test.
DW is so awesome this time of year. Make sure to take plenty of pictures!

Hi! We've always stayed at Moderates, but it's just going to be my teenager and myself, so we thought we'd try Pop for just a few days Easter Week. We're going to be in FLA to visit family.

I don't mind school groups or lively groups of teens and young people, but I do like to sleep at night.

Anyone have any noise reports from an Easter Week?

Thanks!

I think we are going to do it..., we are going to switch to 2 rooms at Pop!!:cool1:
I'm going to call later this morning.
We are not going to pay extra for preferred rooms, but we are going to request connecting rooms in the 60's or 70's sections. Should I request a certain building? We want to be close to the main building with a possible lake view. Any suggestions?
This thread is great!

When I made reservations at Pop for our December 2009 trip, I put the following on the reservation at the time I booked:

-50's or 60's building
-ground floor
-facing lake

We got all three requests. If you make your requests kind of vague, you have a good chance of getting them. (As opposed to a certain room number, certain building, etc.) But of course, you could try anything you want.

When I went in August, I sent a fax to the resort a week before we arrived with my requests and I got every one. They always try to accomodate if they can. Just make sure you are not too specific in the request.

It's official! We made the switch to Pop! We are excited to try something new, we have stayed at POR twice.
We reserved 2 rooms and the CM said they will guarantee connecting rooms because of our kids ages and we requested the 60's or 70's buildings.
Booked with a 20% off code but we are hoping for free dining again, we've gotten it the past 2 years. If not, we'll have to stay 1 night less.

You are going to love POP. I offered to upgrade to a moderate this year to my daughter, but she refused. She got very upset when she thought we would be staying somewhere else. She just loves the pools and all the larger than life Lady from Lady and the Tramp.

If you are heading to Pop we'd love to have you be a part of the FREE Pay It Forward swap at Pop. It's an awesome box filled with goodies and useful items.

It's kind of like the Give a Penny Take a Penny dish. You find something you need from the box, it's yours. If you have stuff you don't want to take home, put it in the box!

Some recent items in the box are: rain ponchos, lysol wipes, wet ones, laundry detergent, dish soap, clothes pins, disposable baby changing pads, glow sticks, stickers, kids toys, etc.

Looking to request the 50's building, 4th floor lake view/fireworks view.

Good choice for being quiet??

This sound good?

Thanks for your reply

Leaving Saturday!!

Leaving Saturday!!

Those were my requests back in 2008 and it was wonderful! Quiet (except during the Epcot fireworks) I was in the Jukebox building which was wonderful for us because along with the above requests we were also close to the parking lot where our van was.

We had the 50's building 3rd floor with the lake/fireworks view in August and it was very quiet. I didn't hear anyone through out the entire trip. Unfortunately, we were always in the parks at fireworks time and never got to see them from the resort.:confused3

I think that it is a good choice. Good luck!

Have fun!
