Fax # for Pop for room request: I saw on the first page here that the fax # is Fax: 407.938.4039 to send in for a room request, however when looking at All Ears fax #'s for Pop it says : Fax - 407-938-4040

can someone confirm which one is correct? Thanks so much

I am thinking of Just takeing a cab to Chef Mickeys, and to Ohannas from POP.I am worried that we will not make It to the Contem In time and i do not feel like rushing. So does any one know how much a cab from POP to Contemp and to the Beach club we also have a Breakfast at Capemay.:cool1:

We just took a cab from the Beach Club to the POP this last week the fare was $8.80 and I tipped $2 so total with tip about $11.

Would you drive or take the bus to MNSSHP? We want to be there at the MK at 4:00, and since we've never stayed at Pop before, I'd love to hear some opinions.

Thanks!

We just stayed at Pop from 9/12-9/20. We never had a problem waiting for a bus for more than 5 minutes. Depending on traffic the ride to the Magic Kingdom took 13-19 minutes. I personally would and did take the bus. At Midnight when the party is over they have one bus right after another to take you back to Pop. You do not have to take your ferry to the car, find your car and then drive to Pop. Just relax on the bus. You will have plenty of time. The actually Halloween activities do not start until 7pm even though you can enter the park at 4 pm.

As for the other poster and her wanting to take a cab to character meals, just take the bus. Why spend the extra money? You can take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and take the monorail from there. The buses start running way before the parks open. If you are late for your reservation, Disney will not cancel it. They will fit you in.

Have fun trips!

I'd also suggest taking the bus to MNSSHP. Never had a problem getting a bus leaving at the end of the party.

As for a taxi to breakfast ADRs:
If it's near at Boardwalk, Yacht Beach Club. I'd take a bus to Studios and walk or take the boat.

Near the MK. Take the bus to MK and then monorail or boat.

If it's at AK Lodge then I'd take a cab. Buses don't go back to resorts with passengers.

Buses start running to the parks 60-90 minutes before park opening. Depending on the restaurant they will try to seat you if you are late, but they really only save your table for 20-30 minutes, after that they can do their best, but can't always seat you.

This was my first trip to WDW and I stayed at POP. Will do the same next year. You will have a blast. Did you request a certain building? I was inthe 70's and once I realized I could cross the parking lot to the bus stop it cut down my walking some. Not that it's far but going through the gift shop was getting expensive :). Remember this is coming from someone who take spublic transit every day but the buses were great. I did just miss the DTD one the day I arrived and had a 20 minute wait but that's the most you will have and it only happened once. After the MNSSHP did have a short wait. Only because they were filling the bus with Handicapped and their parties, but they brought in another and pulled it up right beside the one they were filling and we were on our way. Suggest leaving park about 10 inutes till 12 depending on crowds. They weren't bad when I was there but don't know about now with F&W and being closer to Halloween. What I wish I would've done is really walked around POP and checked out all the Icons. I missed a lot of them. You might want to take some relaxing time to do that. OH and ride the balloon at DTD. It's awesome. Sorry I got so long winded but it was a great trip.

Hi Everybody!

We are coming to POP for the first time Nov 7-14th. Can anybody that has been there recently tell me how long the waits are for the bus and how crowded they are? My husband and I are traveling with our 3 children (ages 5, 2, & 1) so we'll have the double stroller and a single stroller with us plus the stuff that we need to take to the parks. I am torn between getting the rental or taking the bus. We have used the buses before, but that was before we had 3 kids. We don't mind driving to the parks because we have done it in the past, but we were trying to keep our expenses down since we are lucky enough to be able to go to Disney for the 2nd time this year. :woohoo: Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I was there at the beginning of the month, and the wait at Pop was never bad except for one isolated incident in the middle of the day where the EPCOT bus hadn't come when two buses for every other park had come. We were usually on the first bus that pulled up.

Coming back to Pop at the closing of a park was much more crowded and we often waited for a second (and sometimes third) bus before we could get on. Coming back in the middle of the day was not a problem and as soon as a bus arrived we were on.

We're booking our trip this week, and I want to be ready to make our room request (understanding that we may or may not get it ;)). The most important thing to us is a quiet location so that our little guy can rest well for naps and bedtime. We're going to ask for a fourth floor room, preferably a lake view. We figure it would probably be convenient for us to have a room fairly close to the Goofy water area and the kiddie pool, but we don't want the noise from the big pool. And, of course, we'd rather not have a huge hike to the busses/dining area. (Wow, that's a lot of wants, isn't it? :lmao:) So...what are your recommendations? 60's building, 70's, or something else? Thanks for helping a newbie!

You can't be near the kiddie pool and the goofy jets. they are not that close. The kiddie pool is preffered and will be next to the main pool, so more noise there. I would go for the backside of 60's or 70s.

A question for those just back and those just going...
There is mention of the Tye Die Cake being gone at POP, please confirm that this is NOT true.
No where else have a heard this and have recently seen pictures of the cake from those recently returning from their vacation.
So please let me know, our vacation is in Dec and we were looking forward to this treat. I don't want to get my hopes up if it is gone...:confused3

We got it at some point during our trip at the beginning of September.

We just returned last night from a great stay at Pop! We arrived about 7:00 pm or so on Friday 9/25. We did online check in prior to leaving home. We had two reservations booked; one for 5 nights with free dining and one for 2 nights room only for our DD19 who was only staying for the weekend. I made a request for our our rooms to be connecting when I originally made the reservation and again when I did online check in.

When I went to the online check in line, the CM says he had us in rooms in different buildings! I was starting to freak out inside, when he realized why the rooms were in different buildings...there was another guest with the same name and spelling as mine and he had pulled up her reservation in error! When he pulled up my reservation, he saw that we did indeed have connecting rooms in building 7 (80's section)Thank God!

This was the second time we stayed in the 80's section. Our rooms were 7404 and 7405, 4th floor facing the computer pool. I thought the location was pretty good; no real noise from the pool area except the first night; we could hear kids screaming, but we were so tired it didn't keep us up at all. The walk to the food court wasn't bad; it was faster to cut through the 70's area. The bus stop was fairly close as well.

The tye dye cheesecake is still there as of yesterday!

No issues with bus transportation at all. Never waited more than 10 minutes or so to get to the parks; leaving the parks was about the same except at MK EMH closing was a zoo, which is to be expected. We should have left earlier. Tons of people in line, but the busses kept coming right after one another so it moved fairly quickly.

Checked our bags with RAC which was new for us. We always fly Southwest so we never were able to use RAC until now. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for our bags to make it home. :sad2:They never made it on to our flight yesterday, although SW did call us last night and say that the bags were on the next flight after ours. They are supposed to be delivering them to me today between 8 and 12. Good thing I didn't have to go to work today

Not sure if I'll ever know if the problem was with RAC getting the luggage to MCO late or if SW just screwed it up at MCO. Makes me nervous about using RAC again though. But I suppose if your luggage has to go missing, better to lose it on the way home than on the way there, right?

Anyway, we had a wonderful, exhausting trip. If you have any questions, ask away!

Thank you for saying it was there yesterday! Oh a relief, I know really it isn't a big deal, but we missed out on the frozen coke machines earlier in the year and was awaiting the cheesecake. It would be our luck to "just" have missed that too. Thanks, glad to hear you had a good trip.
