5 Days today!! Just faxed down my room request!

:cool1: - Today

:woohoo: - Tomorrow

:yay: - Sunday

 - Monday

:cheer2: - Tuesday

:dance3: - Wednesday (all 3 of us)

Add us to the group of people arriving on Aug 24th! My fiancée and I will be staying the 24th to the 30th.

Question: I plan on calling POP directly to make my requests. Is this ok or is it better to fax them in? I called today but they said they won't see my reservation until tomorrow. Any advice?

I had heard that they don't see it until about 3-4 days out (or at least start doing anything with them until then). Personally I think it's better to fax, because then they'll attach it to your reservation. If you call, depending on how motivated the CM is, and if they grab another call right after yours, etc., they may say they'll make the note, but not actually do it. Think if you're really concerned, I'd fax it over around 4 days prior, and then maybe call the next day to see if they received it and have your chart noted properly.

All we really want is top floor, so I have that noted already and I'm hoping a fax 4 days beforehand should be enough. If not, even though I checked in online, I'll wait in the regular line if I have to in order to get it changed. But I can't imagine it should be a huge problem! Good luck and say hi if you see anyone with a DIS shirt on!

Where could I mail a package while at WDW? I am getting a package together while I am there and sending it to a special family who will be going on a Make a Wish trip. Can I get a small box or envelope there? Or should I plan to bring my own box or envelope? TIA!

I have been recently put on a new diet by my Dr and wondered if anyone knew if they have probiotic yogurt at the food court. :)

Thanks

Lorrie

School starts here on Aug 24- I wonder how packed Pop will be the next 2 weeks before school starts around the country?

School has already started here. In past years it hasn't been too bad the last week of August. Since northern schools haven't gone back yet, and those who had just started don't always want to pull out their kids that early. Crowds are about a 5-6 and so wait times are too bad. The big stuff at most has a 60 minute wait, but most times 45min.

I was just wondering bc I have friends that are making the trip this week as an end of summer treat for their kids. I was hoping it would not be to crazy for them. It will be their first trip ever to Disney.

I know lots of people in Jersey who are heading down for just that reason.. thanks to free dining it's not as quiet as it once was there the end of August. Labor Day weekend is insane though!

I am hoping the crowds are not too bad too, we arrive Sept 10th. Last year we were there the 18th of Sept and the crowds were great. I think the longest we waited was 20 mins. Anything longer than that we used Fast Passes but that was only for Rockin Rollercoaster and Toy Story Mania. Or to get a fast pass for Splash Mountain then we went on Thundermountain twice and then went to use the Fast Pass for Splash Mountain. So even the fast passes were not that far off for wait times.

See you there. Praying for great crowd levels too!:worship:

Years ago the weeks after Labor Day were some of the quietest all year ~ with free dining, might not be as quiet. Since few parents would want their children to miss the beginning of a new school year, doubt is would be terribly crowded. :)

was there the 15th-18th last year.. will be there the 14-19th this year, hoping for same lower crowd numbers and quiet halloween party again too! :)

We just bought our Halloween tickets for our trip in October (when we're staying at Pop!)

I am making my lists, and sorting thru my tote of collected items to pack and am curious if you can get plastic spoons/forks, and sugar packets in the food court area?

I am packing some small cereal boxes, tea bags, etc so we have breaky in the morinings before heading to the parks. I am assuming we have to bring bowls for cereal.

Thanks
