Oh cool... thanks!

I'm going to be sure to take some with me on my next trip! I wonder if the people at home depot wonder why the lime green paint chips always run out so fast! :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Woohoo!!! I'm in the single digits!!! :cool1::cool1:

Nah, cause you have people like me who take a whole bunch of all the colors to make their countdown calendars:

Marciemi- I LOVE that!! I might have to borrow your idea :) It's so cute!

Thanks - on the back of each one I put some trivia, then underneath the post-it note (so no one peeks), I have a picture of something to go with the trivia. Honestly, it takes more time collecting the trivia than anything else, so when you get ready to make one, just let me know and I'll be glad to share mine!

Really?? WOW something new for me.:goodvibes I aways get teased on vacation when I go on vacation in the states and ask for ice tea or for slushies. :rotfl:

From one Canadian to another.....so true, so true....we also asked for a "POP" while at the Coral Reef for dinner and the server asked us what that was. :rotfl: Oh so sorry I mean can I have a "SODA". It is so funny how Canada and the US are so much alike but yet so different too.

I am glad about the iced tea (sweet tea)...however you call it. I don't do well with carbonated drinks so I get sick of the lemonade, so iced tea will be awesome. :thumbsup2

Hi Neighbor!!!!!

For all those looking for countdown calendars, used the Just for Fun - The Creative Community sections you can find lots of countdown calendar ideas. They call themselves DISigners. They are awesome. Some you can even copy, print and use. onemaybaby, got me a countdown calendar chain that you cut out the chain links and put them all together and then rip one off everyday till your trip, and you watch the chain get smaller and smaller. She got it from that site.

I love the Mickey Head countdown, I may use that one next trip. Home Depot must just wonder how come all the heads go missing so often when not too many people buy the mickey colours of paint. Although I painted by DD room in the lime green Disney colour from the Buzz room and the pink from the Tink room. Man is it bright in there!

A little off topic but on the same topic as "What different things are called in other places". I've tried to order "jimmies" for my ice cream in Lake George, NY until I realized they are called "sprinkles". I've also tried to order "grinders" and have been told they are "subs".

I grew up in PA and grinders there were a hot sub in other words a hoagie toasted in the oven. so here a sub would be another word for a hoagie(which is cold not hot ot toasted) . a roll with lunchmeat and tomatoe lettuce onion and whatever else you please. Terminology is crazy LOL!

Hi everybody!
I am staying at the POP in October and I have a question regarding parking and how close it is to the rooms. I am taking my Mom who has difficulty walking (we will rent an ECV while there hopefully) and was wondering if the parking is far away from the rooms or no?

Also, I am a wee bit afraid of the tales of children screaming down the halls... She prefers a more calm enviroment (I know - in Disney - yeah right!) but where would you suggest would be an out of the way or quieter area?

We stayed at CBR in the spring and it was really close but this trip is the "trip that shouldn't be" and we are doing it budget style because I want to go for MNSSHP :)

And... just because I don't want you to think she is a bitty :rolleyes1- she is really fun but her med issues are becoming more prevailant and as much as she tries to keep up it is trying on her. We are going with 3 kids so it should be fun.

Thanks for any help you can provide. :)

So, what do you think, is it close or should I request a specific area to help with getting to the car.

When I stayed in March I stayed in the 50's section, Jukebox building, poolview. I was very close to parking, so I would think of you asked for 50's Jukebox, but not pool view, you would have a quiet area really close to parking. Good Luck!

In Ohio and Michigan it's Pop too. I think different areas of the country call it pop, while others call it soda. I have never had a problem with saying pop at Disney though. LOL!

Never heard of Jimmies in my life. Thats a new one. LOL!
Grinders and subs are different, we have both here.

I could be wrong, but I think you need to prearrange the rental of the ECV. At least I thought I read that once upon a time. :confused3
Also Pop doesn't have hallways, it's all open. If you want quiet, but close to the parking lot, I would say either 50's or 80/90's and make your request for a quiet location near the parking lot.

Forgive me for being a bonehead... I'm going to fax over my room request in the next few days, but I can't seem to find the fax # on the first page... Help! TIA!

Based on the above, I think you should ask for the '80's or '90's sections. It's close to parking for sure, and because the pool is kind of blah there compared to the Hippie Dippy pool, I think it's not as popular with families as other sections.

I have to agree with MsCoz. We stayed in the 50's, building 2 with a lake view and it was VERY close to parking and QUIET!!!!!:worship:
