To be blunt they really suck. I didn't bring my own the first year and totally regretted it the whole time and I wasn't even doing much styling, just trying to fluff dry and it took for ever.

I could be wrong, but I think there is a difference between adjoining rooms and connecting rooms and I think the ones with a door between them is adjoining. Someone should be able to clarify that or it might be on the first page.

 Connecting is with the door between the rooms, adjoining could be anywhere nearby.:thumbsup2

I agree with hairdryer assessment - awful! Even for my baby fine, short hair.

Connecting rooms have a door that go between the two rooms; adjoining rooms are next to each other, but without a door.

as already pointed out, connecting would be with a door between rooms. I am hoping for connecting rooms so we can spread out a bit while DD19 is with us (she leaves a few days before we do) It's funny....I've stayed at Pop twice before and both times we got a room that connected with another room but only needed the one room. I am hoing we can manage to snag connecting rooms again!

do you think I should fax a request for connecting rooms?

Thanks for clearing it up for me. LOL! I knew there was a difference but couldn;t remember for which was which!

Thanks for the hairdryer assessments.

Will have to try and buy one somewhere when I arrive - travel dual voltage dryers are worse than awful. May as well have my son stand next to me and blow on my hair for all the good they do.

I think hairdryers need to be designed by WOMEN!!

That would be about equal to the one at Disney Resorts!! Will you be renting a car? If so, there are lots of places nearby to get one. I rarely go off site so would not be the best person to tell you where, but we've been to a nearby Walgreen's and CVS and I've read there is a Wal-Mart not far as well.

(I have those travel dual voltage as well...ugh..finally bought one last time I was in Italy...but still so-so!).

Godspeed - you've got a loong trip!! :goodvibes

I agree! I'd suggest the Wal-Mart for a hairdryer. I like Remington ones-- they're not too expensive, and they work better than the Conair ones I've had. :)

We're staying on property and not renting a car so this could be a challenge!!

Maybe I could have one shipped to me at the hotel?

Goodness, vanity huh.

PS: Thanks for the good travel wishes - a clear 24 hours travelling from Sydney through LAX to MCO.

I know that the resort is now charging $ for having packages shipped to the resort. Is it still $5 and is that per package?

Did you get that info from the hotel?

I just emailed the other day to ask as I am having a few other things shipped to me there and they said there is no charge. You just have to ensure you include "hold for guest" in the address and ensure that the FAMILY name on the package exactly matches your reservation family name and they will hold for you until you arrive.

No, someone posted about it quite a while ago.

That would be nice if there isn't a charge. I just ordered some Crocs to be delivered to the resort. My neighbour asked if I could add some on to my order as she wanted some, but it was too late they had processed my order so her order will be shipped seperately.

I just saw your post about ordering from Crocs.com. I ordered from www.cabelas.com The kids Mickey Crocs were on for under $5. I didn't buy them I bought the warm ones Mammoth for my nieces and one pair for myself. They will get their's for Christmas.

I didnt even think of that! Good idea! LOL, the things we women do for beauty...

Yeah, that's a long flight ahead of you. But it'll be worth it! :yay:

I wanted to give my POP friends the first opportunity to participate before I post this on the budget board.

I have prepurchased a photopass CD. I am willing to share it with three other families. :)

I will not seperate any photos on the CD so if you have a problem with people having your picture or having other peoples pictures please do not ask to participate.:surfweb:

DATES: SEPTEMBER 20 - OCTOBER 3RD

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COST INVOLVED. This is free to you. I would just like to pass some of the magic on.

I will take the first three people who respond and will PM you.

Lorrie

I just called the resort and asked them if there is a charge to have things delivered to the resort and the man said no there is not. Hope that helps--if in doubt I would call...just so you can have 2 people tell you there is or is not.

I'd also be interested if there's still room. I pm'd you. How does it work?

I would LOVE the last one! If it's still there... don't quite know how it works though... If I'm lucky just tell me what I need to give ya!

Great. So we have a group of four families now.

If you will send me a PM with your email address I will email everyone the details this evening and all my contact information. :thumbsup2
