Great photo! I am afraid to stay on the ground floor...I have heard that a few snakes like to make themselves at home from time to time on the first floor.

I was wondering how dependable the early buses are? I have an 8:45 ADR at Crystal Palace and wanted to be at the park by 8 or so? Any thoughts would be great. :cool1::banana:

the buses are great. We normally have an 8:00am breakfast and have never had a problem being on time. Buses start running an hour before park open with a couple extra buses at 7:30-8 for those with breakfast. I suggest getting to the bus stop around 8-8:!5. They can always seat you early.

Thanks. I was hoping to get to the park early so that I can take some great pictures and maybe even get a photo pass picture with the castle and no people in my picture. I thought it would be so awesome to walk down Main Street when its quiet.

Will they allow you in the park that early for an 8:45 reservation?

If you want to be at the parks by 8 I would be outside by 7:30 for the bus and hopefully you will be on one of the first ones. Or, if you really want to be sure to get there on time grab a cab, it's worth the $15 or so to be certain you are there when you want to be.

When you get to the park go to the entrance area to the far right, (when you are facing the MK) that is the entrance area for ADR's. You will have no problem entering at 8am for an 8:45 ressie. Take your time and enjoy the stroll down an empty Main Street. You woke up early so you deserve it! Yes, there are Photopass people there and they will take as many pics as you like! It's a great opportunity to get those crazy pics and the pictures with the digital add ins. Just ask the PP person for whatever they got and they'll gladly do them! We must have gotten 30+ shots from our early morning photo shoot with the castle and NO people in the background. It was wonderful! Oh and so was the breakfast at the CP! :thumbsup2

OMG thank you so much for the information. I can't wait. Thats why I booked an early breakfast for me and my 2 kids. This will be my dd 's first trip as she is only 2. I am surprising my son the day we leave telling him we are going to Disney World . I can't wait. I am so excited . We leave in 20 days.

We have ADR's at CRT at 8:05 and Tusker House at 8:15. So do think being at the bus stops at 7:00 will be OK? I don't want to miss the bus.

You'll be fine, the busses don't always start that early. Even being at the bus stop at 7:30 will be okay as well.

Thanks. I thankfully have yet to see a snake in WDW. Although I'm never "really" looking for them either.

 on placing your GG order. I am making my list as we speak. But I still have a few weeks to place it. Do they charge a flat fee for delivering? I noticed their prices are higher than at the store. I didn't know if they charge higher prices for the products and a fee? Thanks

Are the Legendary buildings still there or have they been demolished?

They were there in January. My guess they are still there. When Disney starts to rebuild them they'll have demolish the current buildings because of building code has changed. It'll be easier to rebuild then retrofit.

Wow!!! How exciting!!!! I would have LOVED to do a surprise for my kids but I have wayyyyy to big of a mouth!!! Plus, I just naturally want to talk about DW ALL the time with the kids so it would have been too hard to keep it a secret! Have a great time!! Maybe we'll see you there!!

Back home yesterday after nine days @Pop. Requested connecting rooms with my parents and asked not to have to change rooms (we had three different reservations!) over phone and faxed request four days prior to arrival. Did not request a specific location. Checked in online ten days prior :surfweb:

Arrived after 1am and were assigned 1st floor, lakeside, 60's building. My parents would be connecting and we didn't have to change rooms (although we did have to go to the front desk for new keys/tickets for each reservation...said they would not deliver to room b/c they were so busy! 600 check-ins on Sunday (8/16.) :scared1:
Room was clean. Asked for extra towels and pillows that first night (remember it was after 1am) and they were promptly brought to our door! :thumbsup2
The water we had ordered from COSTCO was there waiting for us, all we had to do was ask for it! :cool2:
I don't want to start a panic but half way through our stay my husband went to the front desk and asked that all our bed linens to be changed (we had brought our own top, bottom and pillow cases from home that we just put over the hotel linens...we don't like how they use a flat sheet on the bottom, always comes out) b/c he had red bites/rash on his ankles...he has had this happen on during our past stays @Pop...they don't itch. Anyway when we came back from the parks that night our beds had been stripped but not made, no clean towels, trash not emptied...we called Housekeeping and @1/2 later someone came and made up the room. We think there must have been some confusion because of my DH request...but we didn't make a big deal about it and neither did they...maybe if we had fussed more we could have gotten something...
We like the location, close to pool and main building without the noise. No issues with noise (flushing toilets, etc) except the morning when the BIRDS were squawking outside our door! They were not aggressive, but we just stood in the doorway to take a picture and then shut the door...when we were ready to leave for the park they were gone. Saw lots of bunnies, no snakes!
I think that covers it...if anyone has any questions I'd be glad to try and answer :goodvibes
