I will be at pop from fri14th-sun16th with my g/f. I can't wait. we have 3 tickets left on our FL resident fun pass.

I saw this on another POP thread and was choking laughing!

I know the suites will be a good addition, but why does Disney need another Movie Resort?? Would otherwise have likely enjoyed a stay there but it's now on my short list of resorts not to try..along with AS.

just got back from pop. my second time, always good. just one complaint. i didn't think kids/people would be at the pool until 2am. i had a ground floor near the pool. it didn't bother me as much as my g/f who couldn't sleep.

Just back from our first visit to pop and it exceeded all our expectations! We adored the place it was such fun. We requested a refurbed room on check in and got one in buliding 6 (6349) Fantastic room in a great location we were near the elevator and ice machine but suffered no noise from them and were only a short walk from the food court. We had the huge mickey icon which was perfect for our Mickey mad 2 year old who said good morning and goodnight to him every day :O) Pool great, staff excellent, gorgeous new room, quiet location with lake view. Excellent bus service we really couldnt fault the place cant wait to be able to go again, it will certainly be POP next time for us!

I recently saw a picture of a sign at pop that says the pool is now open 24 hours. It wasn;t that way before, so not sure why they changed it. But you can complain about noise levels if they are bad.

I'm 27 and said g'morning and g'nite everyday to the Mickey phone and even said a very sad goodbye when we had to leave

thanks for the info, i didn't know that either. the a/c noise kinda cancelled out the noise, lol. a/c units in hotel rooms are soothing to me because it's a constant noise. i just thought it was strange when i walked out to the pool and there were kids there w/ no parental supervision..........beyond midnight.

from check-in to check-out, i was satisfied. staff was great and helpful. our 1st night the iron went dead on my g/f...i called front desk and someone came to the door in 5 min with a new iron in the box.

i am super relaxed and chill when i am on vacation unless something major goes wrong. it's hard to get me annoyed because i always think to myself that i can always be back home at work.

Great attitude! I wish that I, as the planner and doer of everything, could feel this way too! Oh, I love it all, trust me! But relaxed? - Never!

I didn't realize they have the pool open 24 hours now! I was going to request a pool side room, but think I will change it now. My kids will want to swim 24/7

I have really planned all out on this vacation staying at AKL. I got mickey mail today and my 4 year old doesn't want to stay there. I even showed her the pool slide. She wants to go back to POP. She told me she wanted to take a shower in the flower. I'm now trying to figure out if I should change to POP and just save myself the 1400.00. Which by the way if we stay at POP are whole trip with the free dining for 10 days is 1675.00.

That 1400.00 is almost another trip. I do really feel sad she don't want to stay there.

Heck - for that kind of savings you can treat yourself to another vacation, or an extra day to just hang out at AKL. I'd do the switch in a flash, especially if your DD wants to stay there, and bank the money for a future trip when she wants to stay at AKL.

And those flower showers are fun!

I would say, go where YOu want to go. Do you want to go to AKL? then go! Yes we like to take kids opinions in when planning a vacation, but you are the asult, so I would do what you really want and can afford. If it isn't killing you to pay for AKL, then go there.
Now what I would do, if I had that amount to spend. I would book another trip and stay at Pop both trips. But if I was set on a deluxe and had the money I would do that. We don't do much resort time, so as much as I really want to try some of the nicer deluxes out, I can't justify paying that much when I will rarely ever be there. I'm lucky to get DH to go when we do, so I don't push my luck. LOL! Well for the most poingt I don't!

Why not stay 8 days at pop and 2 at AKL and make it a split stay? That way everyone is happy!

I would stay a split stay like the PP said!! I've done it before and it was surprisingly easy!!

On an note, I was wondering if anyone knows if they do the poolside movies at POP. I'm sure it's addressed somewhere in here but there's just so much to look through!! We stayed at an All Star two years ago and LOVED the poolside movies!!

Sadly, Pop doesn't have movies. I think Music is hte only Value Resort that does.
