At the ASsports last weekend we put up a banner with tape and a picture. I never knew this was a problem.

We are making our 2nd trip to Pop in a few weeks with my BFF Garmin. Last time we couldn't the thing to locate Pop, used AK address then followed signs one we got on Disney property. This morning I was playing with it and it pulled Up a Pop Century Access Road. Has anyone used this? Would it bring me in a back way bypassing all the neat welcome to disney signs? Thankfully this is the last thing I have to obsess over but I'm pretty sure I can drag it over the next 20 days!

Hi - take a look at the great response I got from my GPS questions about POP.

WOW! What great information!

Does anyone know how much the small cartons of milk cost in the Food Court?

Thanks!

We have ours permanently programed into our GPS. I can't remember if we programed it once we go there or based on the address. I love it when I see that on my list of GPS locations. It makes it easy to get back to the hotel from anywhere when your there.

So excited! We leave for the Pop in one week!!!!! :cool1:

Congrats! Have a safe and wonderful trip!

Here goes with a maybe weird question... We'll be at POP May 3rd-10th; my 2nd stay @ POP, DH's 1st. We have a preferred room booked-he hates an extra walk anywhere! And he has never been to Pop before-would it be totally nutty to request 60's facing the kiddy splash area? Then everyone would be pleased-boys as they love the splash area and DH because he likes to be close to everything!
Thanks all!:goodvibes

Yes....our Garmin can never find POP's address either. Luckily I know WDW like the back of my hand so I just put in another resort address. But for one reason our Garmin nuuvi (sp ?) can't calculate it ?

i had problems with my tom tom as well...mapquest listed lake buena vista as the city and after a bit of wrangling i found it on my tom tom-but under bay lake instead.

I was wondering....I am travelling with a 6yr old, hubby and baby 11months (3 kids!) do you think there will be enough room to put a pack and play and a fridge in the room at the same time? Also last time 6yr old rolled out of bed a couple of times so im worried about putting the pack and play between the beds incase he lands on the baby. Any thoughts or ideas? thanks.
ps this thread is awesome...we are going 1st week in May and are so excited after reading everthing here...thanks again. Oh and I would love to see pics of rooms decorated too. Our Dollar tree has disney clings.

I don't know if there is enough room at POP, but when we stayed at CSR we put the pack and play in the sink area of the bathroom.

I think I decided on my room request (I mean my trip is only 7 months away after all :rotfl2: ) I am calling tomorrow to pay off more of the trip and I want to add it to the reservation.

In this order (we have two rooms)
Adjoining rooms (next door)
60's building 4 - lakeview (only standard rooms anyway)
4th floor
fireworks view
connecting rooms (Door inbetween rooms)

I wouldn't request adjoining and connecting rooms. That might just make your request confusing. If you want connecting rooms just ask for that.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it is best to keep requests to no more than 3, in order of importance. Reservations has very limited space for the requests, so if you want any of your requests to possibly be met, not more than 3. :thumbsup2 If connecting and/or adjoining rooms is most important then make that first. i.e.

1. Connecting rooms
2. 60's bldg
3. 4th fl (if fireworks is more important than 4th fl, then make that the 3rd request. :) )

At check-in you can ask if a room that meets all the things you would like is available - ask the CM to please look for you. ::yes::

Hope this helps!!

Have fun planning! :goodvibes

If I were you, I would request:
Connecting Rooms
Fireworks View
4th Floor/60's Building

Pick one from the last two, depending on which is more important to you.

Also, this is a question on my part: does anyone know where the layout of the resorts is? Not the map of preferred/standard rooms, but the one that shows the King Beds, connecting rooms, etc?
I know I saw one at one point, but now I don't remember where it is.

Is this what you're looking for?

Then you can go to the first page of the POP thread and check out each link to see the location in every bldg. :)

That makes most sense because if I get fireworks view - that automatically puts me facing the lake and I'm not preferred so I wouldn't get anything but lake view anyway. As far as our rooms, I will probably just ask that they are next to each other. The door inbetween isn't that important. That's why I started so early - so it can be refined by those who have done this before :thumbsup2 I stayed at POP last trip but didn't request.

So I stole Jenseib's letter and reworked it for our requests, how does this sound?

Attention Room Assigner

Hello from Wisconsin!

I would just like to re-confirm our reservations and see if you could possibly accommodate our room requests. Our Reservation numbers are xxxxxx and xxxxxx. We are booked for October 25th – November 1st (my sister-in-laws first trip ever!). There are 4 of us, Dh's name, My name, and DD's name (6 years old) in one room and DSIL’s name in the other. We would really appreciate if we could get adjoining rooms (so my daughter can easily visit her aunt), 60’s section (because Maddie thinks the petal pool is the coolest), and a fireworks view (because there is nothing more relaxing after a day walking the parks than watching beautiful fireworks from the balcony).

If you have any questions my home phone is xxx-xxx-xxxx. My cell is xxx-xxx-xxxx..
Our home address is
xxxxx
xxxxx

Thank you for your time and consideration. We are excited to be seeing you all soon!

My name
