We will be at Pop in 3 weeks with our Nephews. This will be thier first time to the USA! And thier first time to WDW. We have 8 nights at Pop with Deluxe dinning. We have preferred but we like the 90's section the best. We will have stayed thier 5 times.
Lexi:santa:

Where are you from? As you can see by my screen name I am from England!!

Just had it on Thursday night. I HATE corned beef and I forgot to ask for it without. I scraped that off and gave it to DH. The rest was pretty decent. The saurkraut wasn't "sour" enough for me, though! I am german and like it really tart.

We just got back last night from a week at Pop. Remember, we hated it last time but needed cheap this time around and so we decided to try it again. We are SO glad we did. I had asked for a room on 3rd or 4th floor, near a laundry room.

We got room 8363 - 90's section, looking at the computer pool. FANTASTIC location. Just right across the parking lot from the busses, loved the view. Great great room. We swam in the computer pool and in the kids wading pool near the 60's. Fabulous each time. Used the laundry room 3x. Food court was great. Bus service was great. It was packed, but it didn't FEEL packed.

Walked around the resort early morning and late at night. It really is a cool resort. So so so so so glad we gave it another shot. WE booked bounceback for August ;) Asked for 80's section this time!

What kind of flatbread was the reuben on? I don't like rye, but I love reuben contents! LOL

I'm starting to think that the 90s would be a cool place to stay.
I'll leave it to the schedulers though, as connecting AND adjoining rooms are a must for our grand gathering, so I hate to add many more requests.

thanks for reporting back!

Good Morning All !! Let's talk Pop !! Has anyone heard any more to the rumor of the suites in the Legendary years ?? Now that is something I want to hear about !!

I heard that rumor about 2 years ago, and the nI heard it wasn;t happening anymore. Not sure if it has been started again or not. But last I knew that wasn't going to happen. I only got my info on these boards though, so don;t tkae it as truth. LOL!

If we have a reservation at 8:20pm at Crystal Palace on a day when Magic Kingdom closes at 8pm, will we have a problem catching a bus back to Pop if the buses only run one hour past park closing? The park originally was set to close at 9pm, but they changed the hours so that they close at 8pm. I called Disney Dining and they said that my ressies were still good. I'm still worried about it though. Should I be? Or am I worrying needlessly?

I would double check agian. I have also thought they closed the resturants dwon at park closing. But buses usually run at least 2 hours after park closing.

I'm totally hypothesizing, lol.
I'm secretly wishing they come out with a free dining promo for the first half of 2009... I'd switch to free dining over the 4/3. ;) It'd save us a few more bucks. And I'd be able to bump to maybe a mod.

That would be awesome. I am trying to get DH to go on the cruiseling this year, (but not very successfully yet), but if free dining came out, I know I could get him to go do WDW for that.

It wasn't rye! It was more a pizza type crust. It was good (the crust was my fave). I knew I should have taken a pic ;)

The 90's was awesome! I really loved being over there.

Just got home from POP last night, had a great week there, stayed in preferred 70's area. The food court/shop were great, the rooms were fine, nothing special but just fine for what we needed.....a shower and a clean place to set up house for the week and the buses were great! I would definately go again, but unfortunately, I think our next trip we'll have to move onto bigger things since our family is 5 and our baby will probably outgrow the pack and play by then. Not sure when the next trip is going to be but looking forward to it!!!!:cloud9:

Just got back from POP! We drove so we left yesterday but got home today. I requested a 50's Juke Box, 4th floor, lakeview with connecting rooms. I got it all! We stayed in room 2447 and when I stepped out of the room, faced the lake, turned left and walked about 4 feet to the corner, turned right and leaned against the railing I could enjoy Illuminations and even see the Magic Kindom fireworks!

I really enjoy POP! The weather was OK. We had 1 nice day, 2 really nice days.1 rainy day and 2 really cool days.

The food at the food court was great as usual. Had the chicken with pasta alfredo with breadstick. YUMMY!

It was very crowed last week in the parks! DH took DS11 to DTD for some shopping and they actually closed a store because it was at capacity! You had to wait for someone to come out so you could go in.

Also back from our 8 night stay @ the POP! We loved the pop. We had a disabled access room that was supposed to be 2 full size beds and a roll in shower ( I broke my foot and had surgery awhile ago and still have mobility issues when I walk on it for awhile). Anyway when we checked in Sat around 1 pm our room was not ready. They gave me a # to call from the park so that we could get our room #. Imagine my surprise when I called the # and told my rooms were ready and their #'s :confused3 . I flat out told the CM that I only booked and paid for one room that she must be mistaken. I almost fell off the bench in Epcot when she told me " well it looks like they gave an extra room because they felt their wouldn't be enough room for all 4 of you in a disable access room... so they gave you an adjoining room w/ disabled access (King size bed and a room with 2 full beds). :cool1: I still can't believe WDW did this. Needles to say it was great the the kids had their own room and DH & I had a king size bed with a roll in shower! Mousekeeping was great somehow she must have sensed we miss our dogs because on our 3rd day we got 2 dalmations made out of washcloths; what is really ironic is the the two dogs we missed are DALMATIONS!! As great as our trip was I don't think I would do DEC again. It was way too crowded, and here it is DEC 15 and I have so much too do with Xmas next week! The Pop was great and I would stay their again; we were in building 5 60's section preferred.

Glad you had a wonderful trip! Your posting and "magical expierence" was very touching.

Hope you get well soon!

How great! :woohoo:

Thanks for the info! We're just looking for noodles and other such fun things for the pool. We'll be going in January so I wonder if they'll have anything. It might be safer to purchase something and bring it with us.

We got our Magical Express and Disney Vacation information in the mail the other day! Hurray!! :cloud9:

Hi ya guys and gals! We are headed to Pop Century for the first time in May/June, 2009. Although we still have months to wait, we are getting super pumped up!

For those of you who will be staying at Pop in 2009, head over to the Countdown board and look for the Pop Century Countdown/What Will You Celebrate thread.

Maybe we might just run into each other while at Walt Disney World!

I had my first stay at Pop last month and I was more than pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it there. I've always been kind of a Polynesian nut. But I couldn't get reservations there on short notice. I had an opportunity to make a kind of spur of the moment trip and PoP was available. I would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat. I very much liked the theming (a 60s person here:woohoo: ) and the CMs were beyond friendly and helpful.:dance3: The food court also kept my appetite satisfied from early morning to late evening.
Definitely get "pumped up"! It's well worth the wait.
Now, my question. I have been to a few sites that have countdown thingys but never seem to be able to actually complete one :teacher: and add it to my signature. :confused3 Would you direct me to the Countdown board.

Thanks for the reassurance relative to our upcoming Pop stay. We are CBR nuts so I am afraid I'll have a bit of withdrawal but I am sure we'll be ok.

If you want to add a countdown counter to our signature, just to to www.tickerfactory.com. You can create your ticker there and then load it to your signature.
