I think this is what you are looking for. We have one that we got at CVS...I used a few times for cruises and it came in very handy. I kept all kinds of things in it, including shoes! DD and I are addicted to flip flops and must have brought 6 pair each, lol. I also put our toiletries, hairbrushes, bottles of sunblock, our KTTW cards, sunglasses etc, etc in it. It was great to have everything so organized and all in one spot.

I do the same thing when we travel! I hate a cluttered room, even on vacation

I just don't like clutter everywhere. I put the dirty towels and washclothes in a stack. All of the condiments packages, napkins, utensils, etc. are all in a cup on the table. Our shoes are all on the shelf in the closet, etc. If you have three or four people in a room, it can get really unorganized. Now, when I am at home, I don't really care too much. But, everybody in just one room for 10 days, I just gotta keep it neat.

Dollar Tree has over the door hangers with 8pockets. For $1. I brought one along on a cruise, and then just threw it out when the cruise was over. They arent THE highest quality, so buy two in case one rips. But for one dollar i think they are worth it.

I found a small shower organizer plastic thingy at Dollar Tree that looks similar to the shoe organizer someone posted the link to earlier.

I plan to throw the entire thing away when we leave so I don't want to spend too much.

I just got back from my first on site stay at the POP. I'm never staying anywhere else I love that place, the rooms weren't huge but we only slept in them. We stayed in the 60's fourth floor lakeside and could see the fireworks every night from magic kingdom and epcot it was cool to see them going off side by side. We had requested 60's fourth floor poolside but so glad we got lakeside instead. We visited the monoral resorts but none of them apealed to me, I like the brightness of the place. We got three animal towels, one was in the room when we got there then two more showed up on the third day. Mousekeeping was awesome, one day we showed up at two in the afternoon for my two year old to nap and it hadn't been done yet, she showed up 15 mins after we got there and said it was now or never, but when we left the room a hour later she saw us leave and went and cleaned it, I felt bad because we had moved the tip off the bed so she didn't take it I added it to the next days tip so i hope we had the same person, our room was done by two everyday after that. We only had one problem with our neigbors who we had a connected door with they had a huge fight one night screamming at each other down the hallway and into their room, so while trying to put the kids to bed a 10 at night we got to listen to women say how she hope he would go kill himself and she was leaving, just what i want the kids to hear. they were gone the next and we never heard a peep from our next neighbors.
I can't wait to go back 6 days is not enough.

Glad you had fun. Was your room supposed to be a preferred? Because I thought (without looking at the map) that lakeside was standard?
Sounds like it was a wonderful spot for you though. How busy was it?

What a fabulous wealth of info! I read every single post on this thread (took 2 days!!) and found the answer to EVERY single question I had about Pop Century. Even right down to creamer for my coffee, (wanted to make sure they didn't use the icky powder stuff! ) Post #1 was an invaluable resource that I have referred to many times. Thank you all for your passion and dedication. We are leaving for Pop, our first time, in 11 days. WOO HOO!! Haven't been to WDW in 5 years and you all made it so easy to keep up with all the changes that have been made! May you all have a little extra pixie dust sprinkled on you today!!!

We are staying at Pop for the first time this coming August. We just found out that our 22 year old daugther is going to get to come with us. She's been away for 2 years in missionary college and hasn't been with us to WDW in 2 years. We only get to see her 2 or 3 times a year since she is always doing missionary work (feeding the homeless, working at a camp for Autistic children, helping with a baseball team for the mentally and physically handicapped, volunteering in an elderly community, etc. etc. etc.).

Okay....I've gotten the whole proud/excited mother thing over with.

I've read a lot of posts saying that people have brought along an over the door organizer to keep all their toiletries, combs, brushes, etc. in. I have looked everywhere and can't find one. Maybe I am looking for the wrong thing. Anybody have a pic of the one they used?

I wouldn't do an over the door one, bacuse those will cover the mirror on the door. Do one that hangs in the closet. It worked great, and you can find them for a buck at some dollar stores, and sometimes in the dollar section at Target. For that price you can leave it there if you wish not to pack it for home.

I am a neatfreak also and while I still wipe down the bathroom counter I do not make the beds anymore, unless I want to sleep in and do not want to bother the maid.

I am the maid at home and greatly respect those who do it for a job.

Being at Disney where someone else makes my bed, cleans the room and cooks all my meals is as close as I ever shall get to living like my dh does every single day of his life.

We just returned from our trip to POP today. We had an amazing time! I love POP. Everything was clean and the cast members were truly awesome! Our mousekeeper left towel animals for us the few days we were there that made things even more magical.

We are planning on returning next year for our DD's graduation trip and can't wait!

A guest must always have a photo ID at check-in - even if you check-in ahead of time on line.

By the new program do you mean online check in?

if so, there really isn't anything new about bringing your ID. You would have to either way. You still have to checkin at the desk to recieve your key to the world or room key. Actually so far, you aren;t really saving any time by checking in online. The ywill have your Credit card info already, but other than that, you still have to pretty much check in like normal. I don;t think it saves much time at all. You might just be better off checking in like normal since you are familiar with that procedure.

BTW, I always make note of a few things for when I check in as things can be forgotten. ie. charge on cards or not, room requests etc.

My DH usually does all the talking when we check in so I don't remember if he needed an ID but I do remember having to show mine when we would drive to a resort for dinner.

Well, I don't know about that!!

Since our first visit (1981), the CM has always asked for a photo ID of the person who is the lead on the reservation.

On that very first visit I did not have a photo ID at the time (no passport yet, did not drive, had no reason to take along my state ID, since I did not plan on drinking being alone with 4 munchkins...and had probably already had my about once a yr glass of wine.).

The CM would absolutely not allow us to check-in! This was 1981! I asked for a manager - teary eyed, said to him, "Who would show up with 3 continuing reservations (we had 3 confirmations in order to get the 6 ngts we needed), fully paid with 4 children?". I showed him our airline tkts, names matched - said I would have had to had a pretty incredible plot to steal all the tkts and confirmations!!!

He finally said, in his most snooty tone, "All right. We will allow you to stay, but your resort ID must be stamped for no charging!". I felt like a criminal! Me, an innocent former cloistered nun!

Soooo, the short of this very long, unnecessary story, is that perhaps you are so accustomed to the drill that it slipped your already in vocation mode brain?

Ever since I can remember, I have always needed an ID when checking in at Disney.

M&N, I promise you, I have never been asked for ID when checking into a resort. Now, I have been asked for it when driving in to check in though. One time I got tired of trying to drive with one hand and dig my ID out of my purse with the other. (dh does not like to exert himself in anyway) I used an insurance card, with a picture of a potted plant. I figured that if I were questioned I could just claim to be a "blooming idiot".

Last trip the folks at the resort guard house actually did appear to look at the ID's.

I am glad. Now the terrorists will have to buy park tickets and then hop onto a resort bus. Wait, they do not have to buy park tickets. They would have to pay parking and THEN they could jump on the resort buses.

Hey, as long as they are at least inconvenienced. BTW, I plan to sit on them should I come across any. They might not die but I promise you that they will be incapable of any dastardly deeds forever!

Honestly though, no one can protect all of us every minute. We have to pay attention ourselves and together we can do most anything. In the meantime I plan to visit DW and have a good time.

Possibly you hit one of the guards with a ruler and they remembered?

I have always been asked for a photo ID at checkin. Although it didn't seem to matter if it was myself or DH who checked in with the photo id... so long as we had one!

I've never had them check out ID when driving to a resort for dinner. LOL! Just asked our name, which always seems to take forever to find.

While I have never stayed at Pop (at least not yet...going in August), I have had to show a picture I.D. all three times we've checked into the CBR.
