Just wanted to tell you all here that you are AWESOME.
I know I've asked a million questions, and mostly all of them have been answered. Thanks for being so patient.
My very cruise is coming fast...January 13th, and I am so excited. I will definitely let you know all the details. I've already asked my husband about doing a 7-night cruise if all goes well on this one!

Thanks again...You guys ROCK!! :grouphug:

Check out re-booking onboard! They offer stateroom credit and I think 10% off. You can then move your reservation to your travel agent for an even bigger savings!

Actually I was thinking of doing that if I can talk the hubby into it by then. I usually have to work on him for a while...LOL!
Don't have a TA, so I guess we'd miss out on those savings but 10% would still be worth it.

Tell him that you should book onboard for the 10% off and $200 stateroom credit ... you can always cancel later in the future and get your deposit back, but once you're off the ship you cannot get the 10% off or $200 stateroom credit.

As for the TA, you can always get one in the future and transfer your ressie from DCL to the TA later for any possible further savings.

That is a great idea. :Pinkbounc I didn't even realize that you get the stateroom credit. That is an awesome deal. Will there be a place to make reservations on the ship?? (The deposit is $250, correct?)

Yes. It is usually by the main lobby. The deposit will appear on you final bill before you leave the ship and as the previous posted mentioned, after the final night, no more discount and stateroom credit. I thought I saw that the deposit requirements went up to $300 - $400 person. Can someone confirm this?

If the date you want to re-book is not available, I was told by the agent on the ship to book the latest date and then when the dates you want are available, you can call to change them and still get the price and credit. However I would strongly suggest that you confirm that this is still the case as policies change often on DCL.

The rebooking desk is on the 4th floor midship port side I believe :-) I view the rebooking thing as ivanova does, I can always get my depo back if things change and we can not make the trip, but I can not go back in time and get the EBS and the Stateroom credit and the 10% off. Then when I get home I transfer my ressie to Dana at www.micdan.com for even more savings! :-)

PS you do not have to use the same credit card that you are using for stateroom charges, in my case I booked 3 future tenative cruises ,and I needed to pull out the old AMEX for that load! LOL

The deposit has gone up to $250 per person - I rebooked on board and just put DH and I on orginally because I paid cash (in form of check card) for the deposit and then went home tranferred the funds for the kiddos and added them after. (Just a week after). I know you have to be careful doing this in case the child limit for the clubs have been met. I think they should maybe give you a break with the deposit if you are booking on board since you already have probably dropped at least $1000 on board while there. Just my mind rambling please don't flame me - I realize we all have to be treated fairly wherever or when ever we rebook. (but it would be nice though eh?)

But wait...There's more-
After you rebook onboard and get your stateroom credit and discount, you can transfer your reservation to another TA who offers a rebate to use them. Another savings of 75-150 dollars...Mark
