hi guys! im looking for advice/ opinions. this will be our first faimliy trip down this fall. the last time we were there was when i was expecting our dd. so for obviioous reasons i never had to worry about strollers or fridges!!! we have a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old and know we will need a double stroller for the length of our stay. from what i see the stroller swaps are full(great idea btw!!!) has anyone ever rented from : http://www.orlandostrollerrentals.com/orlando-stroller-rentals-double-stroller.html

?

im new to all of this but it seems paying 85 plus a 25 dollar deposit vs, 27 dollars for 7 days is much better. we contemplated bringing our own umbrella strollers but often our 4 yr old will not ride, and her brother hates his. any suggestions/advice woudl be great!!!!

The strollers from Orlando stroller Rentals are fantastic. I have the single City Mini for my 4 year old and I LOVE it! I haven't rented form them, but I have heard great things. I have also seen their strollers in the parks and they look great.

ETA< stroller swaps are no longer an option here on the DIS, so I think this is your best option.

thanks jessica! im so lost!!! lol weve done dis so many times but never with kids- its all this extra stuff we have to think about before going. and i dont want to book a stroller and get ripped off either.

I own the Baby Jogger City Classic stroller-which is the brand that Orlando Stroller rental has & I cannot say enough great things about it. We always bring a stroller & my dd is 6. It is so convenient to carry things as well as kids & I have heard only good things about that rental company.

I've never rented a Orlando Stroller rental but have read many good things about them on Disboards and have seen the their rentals in the parks. There is a post somewhere from a lady who has pics of the double she rented.

We have a front to back double and I actually contemplated just renting the one from Orlando Stoller on our last trip in January. We ended up bringing ours because it would have been a waste of money.

In my opinion, I would not do the two umbrella strollers. Most don't recline and kids just don't look comfortable sleeping in them. Plus that is just one more thing to have to keep track of.

We rented from Orlando Stroller Rental (a twin city mini) for my girls, who are 6 and 4. The customer service was soooooooo good. There was an issue with the Wilderness Lodge misdirecting me to where the stroller was waiting for us. The delay was totally the WL's fault, yet the message left by the owner from Orlando Stroller Rental was apologetic and empathetic. I also called on our last day in the World and asked if there was any chance we could keep the stroller a few extra hours and that wish was granted with no issue.

The stroller comes with a little first aid kit. It was easy to find in a crowd. It handled like a dream and I wish I had known about it when my gals were smaller. I would have gladly forked over the dough for it because it folds so easy, is pretty light and in general a fantastic stroller.

I've already made my reservation to rent again from OSR in August. They're really good. And I swear I'm not being compensated for this. I'm just a really happy customer.

I can't speak highly enough about the City Mini!!!!! There's a BIG difference between pushing around a City Mini all day versus a typical umbrella stroller -- manuverability is soooo much better, and almost important is the great sunshade on the City Mini to protect your kids from the Florida sun. Also -- super easy to find your City Mini in the stroller parking lots outside all of the rides. I would definitely get the "cooler/organizer" attachment -- it is fabric and has two spots for drinks plus one small cooler (big enough for a carton of milk, but can also be opened and used as a third cup-holder).

Enjoy!

thanks for the help guys!!! i think we will be booking with them for sure. yeah the umbrella strollers were not really a must take. like i said to hubby she'll be in and out of it all day then we still have to drag it around. then he'll want out. atleast his has a strap to put it on your back. but still to lug those around on top of the kids and their stuff! oy!!! and youre right the umbrellas dont recline-well hers doesnt. plus to have to drag it through the airports....i dont even want to think of it!!!

Strollers are a great place to store all of your stuff, too. I don't know what I'll do when my DS is finally too big for his!

thats when you start renting lockers!!! or ship it to your hotel if staying onsite! its amazing what we just used to do when we went and didnt have kids, and now its like nope i wont be renting lockers, but then i need to rent a friged so thatll make up for that! and now to add the strollers in!

We've rented from OSR once (last Nov/Dec) and are doing so again in less than a week. I only have great things to say about the company and the stroller. I wouldn't do Disney any other way! We do bring our own Chicco umbrella stroller for our littlest one in the airport. Once we get to our resort, we only use the double from OSR. It is an awesome, awesome stroller!

This is the first time I have heard of this. Do you need to be staying onsite to rent from them?
