The cave was dark and ominous. Cobwebs hung all around and shadows from the torches danced along the cave walls. Arizona Jeff silently walked down the passageway with Mean Laureen closely behind him. The sounds of bats could be heard in the darkness as the two adventurers trekked deeper into the underground cave. The cave walls appeared to be getting closer together as the two adventurers went deeper into the mountain. Suddenly, the passageway opened up into a large underground room. The ceiling was more than two stories high. Stalactites hung from the ceiling, dripping with moisture. The smell of dampness was overwhelming. Along the wall, covered in mold and moss, were the writings of an ancient civilization. It was clear that this room held the keys to a great adventure. Mean Laureen understood the importance of this room and quickly went about lighting torches and placing them near the walls to illuminate them so that Arizona Jeff could begin deciphering the messages left from a long lost civilization. Removing a pad of paper and pencil from his jacket pocket, Arizona Jeff began writing down the translation from the ancient petroglyphics. As he translated, he began to get more excited. It was clear that the messages contained on these walls were of great importance and Arizona Jeff could not write quickly enough. Finally, after he had deciphered the final cave drawing, he set his pencil down and began to analyze what had been written. What he read was incredible. He could barely comprehend what he held in his hand. He gave the notebook to Mean Laureen and she began to read his notes. Before she had even finished one sentence, she gasped. Her eyes became wide in astonishment as she tried to understand what was written on the paper. Neither of them could believe what they had stumbled across. They held in their hand a list of activities. These were not just any activities but the activities of a great pin adventure. Obviously, this adventure would take more than just the two of them to complete.
