The cave was dark and ominous. Cobwebs hung all around and shadows from the torches danced along the cave walls. Arizona Jeff silently walked down the passageway with Mean Laureen closely behind him. The sounds of bats could be heard in the darkness as the two adventurers trekked deeper into the underground cave. The cave walls appeared to be getting closer together as the two adventurers went deeper into the mountain. Suddenly, the passageway opened up into a large underground room. The ceiling was more than two stories high. Stalactites hung from the ceiling, dripping with moisture. The smell of dampness was overwhelming. Along the wall, covered in mold and moss, were the writings of an ancient civilization. It was clear that this room held the keys to a great adventure. Mean Laureen understood the importance of this room and quickly went about lighting torches and placing them near the walls to illuminate them so that Arizona Jeff could begin deciphering the messages left from a long lost civilization. Removing a pad of paper and pencil from his jacket pocket, Arizona Jeff began writing down the translation from the ancient petroglyphics. As he translated, he began to get more excited. It was clear that the messages contained on these walls were of great importance and Arizona Jeff could not write quickly enough. Finally, after he had deciphered the final cave drawing, he set his pencil down and began to analyze what had been written. What he read was incredible. He could barely comprehend what he held in his hand. He gave the notebook to Mean Laureen and she began to read his notes. Before she had even finished one sentence, she gasped. Her eyes became wide in astonishment as she tried to understand what was written on the paper. Neither of them could believe what they had stumbled across. They held in their hand a list of activities. These were not just any activities but the activities of a great pin adventure. Obviously, this adventure would take more than just the two of them to complete.

Pin Adventure Activity Number 1 !!!

The ancient petroglyphics spoke of an odd ritual of the ancient civilization. A celebration that took place when someone acquired a rare, highly sought after token. This ritual is better known as:
The Happy Pin Dance!!

Join us as we recreate this long lost tradition. 20 people will be allowed to show us their version of this celebratory dance in a competition to win one of these "ancient" tokens.

So start practicing now.. it's up to you whether you want to do the "pintusi", the Pin Back Twist", the "LE Hustle", the "Please don't let my Pin Break dance" or the "Lanyard Limbo".. or come up with a dance all your own. Just bring your dancing shoes!

To sign up for this activity.. please email MeanLaureen at MZDavis67@aol.com

Are we allowed to nominate entrants for this adventure ?

There are some people we need to see dance ? Don't we ?

Pin Adventure Activity 2 - The Pole of the Parkhopper

As Arizona Jeff reviewed his notes, he noticed a tale of adventure set in the frozen tundra of the north lands. The petroglyphics spoke of a man who had been challenged by an adventurer. The challenge left the poor man permanently attached to a pole, his tongue cemented to the frozen metal. This dilemma caused great pain to the man's village and didn't do much for the man either. The result was a curse upon the village that will remain until the activity is recreated. Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen are therefore asking for your help. We need volunteers to re-enact the Parkhopper Pole licking that occurred in the Arizona Jeff and the Temple of Pins adventure. Each contestant will be given a cool candy pole. The object is to lick your way through the pole thereby breaking the candy pole and the curse. Please help this poor village and their pole sucking leader eliminate the curse.

To sign up for this activity, please send an e-mail to Mean Laureen and have your name added to the list of adventurers willing to help.

Pin Adventure Activity #3!!

We found through these petroglyphics that this ancient civilization was a fickle one.. always wanting what the other one had. They would often blindly grab these tokens right off of the flowing robes of others. Interestingly, this civilization was a fair one, and these ancient people always left behind a token to replace the one they grabbed.

Join Malibu Matt as he conducts a Mystery pin swap. Matt will be attired in attire that we wish would become ancient. On this loud, colorful gaudy "robe" he will have an assortment of pins turned backwards. To play this game with Malibu Matt.. all you have to do is to bring a pin to add to his "Amazing Technocolor Pin Vest". He will then give you a voucher that you may bring back later to allow you to choose a pin from this.. umm.. colorful (?), festive (?), stylish (?) umm.. shirt  (hey.. you don't have to live with it!)

Everyone is invited to enjoy this activity!! Just bring your trade with you to the Adventure. If you have any questions, please email MeanLaureen at MZDavis67@aol.com

Pin Adventure Activity 4 - The Great Pin Puzzle

As the duo of adventurers continued to read the petroglyphics, they found the cave painters describing a great adventure in which an adventurer set out to find a rare set of artifacts, the Twelve Days of Christmas pins. This adventurer searched everywhere looking for these pins. Along the way, he met several characters. The petroglyphics stated that his reward was great when he accomplished his mission and retrieved all twelve pieces. Again the cave paintings talked of great treasures to be had to those who re-enact this adventure. Adventurers will be gathered in teams of 10. Their identities will not be disclosed to the other team member. Each person will receive a piece to a puzzle. The puzzle is a picture of the Twelve Days of Christmas pin set. Team members will search through the Great Pin Adventure for others on a similar quest to match their puzzle pieces. When all the team members have come together, the puzzle will be solved and their quest complete. This activity is open to all. People will be randomly assigned to a team and given a puzzle piece. It is up to you to find the others on your team. This will be a great way to mingle with the other adventurers and get to know each other.

If you would like to be included in the Great Pin Puzzle activity, send an e-mail to Mean Laureen and let the adventure begin.

Pin Adventure Activity #5!! The Trivia Challenge

According to the petroglyphics, these ancient people valued knowledge. Of course most of this knowledge ended up being "UBI" (Useless Bits of Information), but they prized it nonetheless. This was the beginning of trivia....

We want to see how much you have in common with your ancestors. How much Disney Trivia do you know. Are you a novice? Are you an expert? We will find out at the Great Pin Adventure!

There will be 3 levels of competition. Up to 50 people will compete in each level. Level one will be for children 12 and under. Level 2 is for adults that feel they know "some" Disney trivia.. more than the "man on the street" but are not quite an expert. Level 3 is for the Alex Trebek of Disney Trivia.. the expert round!

To sign up for the Trivia Challenge email MeanLaureen @ MZDavis67@aol.com - please be sure to let me know the names of everyone competing and what levels of competition they want to sign up for!

What do you mean "gaudy?" What do you mean "loud?"

We can have some friendly wagering on who will win the dance contest!

I'd put my wager on Jeff, but I want to see the whole roster before I commit.

You never know, there might be a ringer in the group! :D

Well I went out shopping for stuff for the Ornament Premiere at work tonight and I found something that was just PERFECT for another activity at the Pin Adventure. I'm going to save it for a surprise.. but trust me.. you guys will LOVE it!!

I wanna see Nat do the framing two-step. Ain't never seen no one from New Hampshire do a jig. Would almost pay money to see that, well almost. ;)
