I noticed my ticker doesn't really match up with my countdown. But the ticker was set up for our original Saturday arrival...I didn't change the date when I booked a flight for me to leave earlier. So once this countdown ends, the ticker will keep on ticking!

:cool1::cool1: Got Mickey mail yesterday! My Magical Express packet came. But it only lists my flight info for the trip down, it says it doesn't have any flight info for departure - guess I will just have to stay there!

Actually, I wonder if it is because I am arriving at Boardwalk and leaving from AKL that they will ship the arrival and departure info separately. I guess if I don't get more Mickey mail in a few days I will have to call and check on it.....or pack all of my stuff and just plan on moving in :thumbsup2

Norway!! The land of trolls, Vikings, moose?, and...uh...furry headed creatures...:confused3

I thought this one was kind of funny - if you look to the left of Mark you will see the back of Ryne's big purple hat and me taking his picture.

The other "hats around the world" were from 2007 when we left Sean at home. This one is from June 2010.

I just realized that I may have missed a couple DIS meets and didn't even know it. Dan, Glenn....what dates were you there last year? We were there June 5 - 12th.

Since this is advertised as a "Trip thru Time" let's go back in time to the mid-1970's

This is me and my brother Bret. We were "camping" down near Meremac Caverns in Missouri. For us, camping was a pick-up truck with a topper. There was a sheet of plywood laid across the bed of the truck behind the window of the cab and a twin mattress was on it. Under that on the floor of the bed of the truck was a bigger mattress that they would fold in half while we were riding and would unfold for mom & dad to sleep on at night. Bret and I would sit in lawn chairs in the back of the truck as we drove across the country. We had a small propane camp stove and an intercom that ran to the cab of the truck. Of course mom & dad would shut it off after a few times of hearing "moooom..he's picking on me!!" :rolleyes:

Oh, and that scratch on Bret's face.....I'm sure his little sister had nothing to do with it! :rolleyes1

LOVE LOVE LOVE the big purple hat!

I haven't been down in the "marketplace" in the Mexico pavilion lately - too crowded for the scooter - so I don't know if they still have the big elaborate ones like that anymore. I know last summer Ethan bought a big straw one - like the one in sean's picture - and had to hold it on his lap for 1000 miles because the back of the car was packed too full!

Loving all the Hats !1I plan on doing a few of them next month and in August!!!

Have fun with them - there are a lot of funny - creative ones out there!

It's 2 in the morning, I am tired, and it is so hot in this house I can't stand it! The only one who has managed to get to sleep so far is Ryne and his room is in the basement.

But since it is officially the 3rd now, it is officially one month before I leave for WDW! :cool1::cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana:

In honor of our crummy air conditioning, we ran to town today and got some trip shopping done.
Got a couple pairs of shorts for Ryne, a pair of shorts and capris for me, 2 shirts for Danny and for Mark;
the always needed undergarments for various and sundry family members; shampoo and conditioner for both bathrooms so we won't be fighting the Disney paste/conditioner this trip;
a first aid kit;
a stick of sunblock to carry in my purse....my nose burns terribly so I am constantly re-applying sun block;
new beach towel to use as a seat cover on my scooter;
bottle of laundry detergent for the room;
a folder to keep all of my reservations, confirmations & receipts in (yes I already have some folders here at home - but they are plain and this one has Mickey on it);
a box of Mickey band-aids, in addition to the ones in the first aid kit....because they were cute:rolleyes:;
a new smaller wallet for Danny to take only the "essentials" into the park and not all the other stuff he carries around;
I'm sure there was more...but like I said, it's 2 in the morning :confused3

Danny still hasn't brought my "gathering tub" upstairs yet, but he did lay the suitcases out on the couch and love seat. He hasn't emptied them yet - but I guess you gotta start somewhere!

Well, good night all - I am going to attempt sleeping again :headache:

With one month to go until I am at Disney World :cheer2: here are some of the people we are leaving behind!

Sorry about the ac and not being able to sleep!

Love the flashback hat!

I think it was finally about 3:30 when I went to bed.

Thanks! Bret was involved with our local fireworks display, so this is another time of year that he is especially on my mind. The first year he was gone they dedicated that years display to him.:goodvibes

Are you posting pix of the UNDIES like they asked me to do!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

whose would you like to see? So far I've gotten packages for me, Danny & ryne. I'm kind of thinking I would probably lose readers if anybody modeled any :scared1: so I propose a field trip. Anybody who is interested in seeing my purchases can go to their local walmart and wander the undie-aisle :thumbsup2
