We are on day 7 of our 9 day trip and so far (with the excption of the bad) the transportation gods have been upon us. Seems whenever we need a bus, one is there waiting for us or one pulls up within minutes. Also ate at Jiko for the first time. Excellent food!

The bad: last night leaving MK, we waited over 30 minutes for a bus. Many empty buses went by. I counted 6 buses for one other resort, and 3 for several more.

The ugly: the stomach bug hit our room. Right now both dds are sleeping it off (hopefully). Poor dh had younger dd on a bus when it hit her. Had to cancel our CP package for tonight.

Oh well. Here's hoping that tomorrow everyone wakes up well and we can enjoy our last two days.

Ugh. I sure hope it was just a quick overnight bug and you all will be fine in the morning.

I had bad luck with buses on my trip that ended last Sunday. I only had to take them to MK and AK. Of course, they would take 30+ to arrive. Catching the bus back to the resort was the same.
I was at BWI so then I had the fun of traveling to other resorts before actually going to the parks.
I did get a chuckle out of the AK bus stopping at Blizzard Beach in the morning when it was only 40 degrees. No one got off there. Brrrrr.

Enjoy the rest of your trip.

I understand! We all still have the stomach bug it's pretty bad my 2 yr old can't sleep!

Just curious, where are you staying? I always wonder if the bus service is better at different resorts?

We home now, plane finally took off an hour late last night. No school today, so that is good for dds. Not that I would have sent them in anyway, we didn't get home until 3 am. Disgruntled people on the plane. And if you are wondering, Airtan will not make passengers move to accomodate families who don't pay for seats in advance.

We only lost one full day to the stomach bug, but older dd just didn't feel good the rest of the trip. We had one no ride day, which we spent at Epcot. Sunday we went to HS in the am and rode RnR, ToT and TSM then when it started to rain we went resort hopping - looking for which resort to stay at next trip . I had told dh that this would be our last trip for a while so we could do other things, but he told dds that he knew better. As soon as our ski trip is over next winter, he knows I will start showing him package prices again.............

We were staying at Pop and askde from that one bad experience at MK, we never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus/boat/monorail so that is pretty good.

We did see one lady lose it with a boat driver at POR. Apparently he left someone behind at the dock at DD who was pregnant :confused3. She was really yelling at the boat driver, we were on another boat at the dock going to DD, so I'm not sure why he left her behind and why it was such a big deal.

1. The person left behind may have become separated from her party so the others were boarded without her.
2. A boat only has life jackets for X people. So the line must be drawn somewhere for how many passengers can board.
3. I read on the news about an expecting couple racing to the hospital after the mother got labor pains about a week in advance and the car got stuck in a snowstorm and the child was born by the side of the road. I kinda' doubt if the situation here was that urgent.

I was wondering why it was a big deal that she was left behind, not that she couldn't get on the boat. If it was such a big deal that she get back to the resort, why didn't one of the three or four people who appeared to be upset by this give up their seat for her to get on the boat. It isn't like DTD on a Sunday afternoon is a dangerous place to be.......
